Ditchley's money move error

I’d be surprised if he was a manager again

I suspect he will just follow Gerrard around now possibly in League 1 or if lucky lower Championship

To a League One club definitely, perhaps be a bit harder to get another Championship job off the back of one lower half finish and then leaving to be an assistant who then got potted not long into the job.

At that point it would have been a stupid move career wise but this is all hypothetical, Villa are one game in and could easily turn it around. We might be the League One club that employs him 😂

Who are our best centre backs? Seems to be a weakness these days.

Like it or not, Critchley will always be in demand. He'll work at a high level in coaching. Maybe he'll manage again. That's up to him. I don't think Gerrard will last as a manager, so I dont see NC working with him for very long. Gerrard is just a name. Which attracts players, for now, but that won't last unless his teams succeed. And I dont think they will. Villa fans seem angry with their owner for getting rid of a proper manager and bringing Gerrard in. He's relying now on Critch and the other senior coaches to keep him in the job.

I wouldn't have him back either, classless in the way he left so hes burnt his bridges.

I doubt he'd want to come back either, the way he left without a word was a bit cowardly, clearly didnt want to face the music so hid away until he had to do press with Villa where we got one line. Keogh was more graceful and hed only been here a season
 
Mings is quite influential at Villa so it's an odd fight for Gerrard to pick. Typical managerial speak though in having a slight little dig at the player but not saying what he really thinks. Just putting it out there.
Critchley not involved in the row apparently. Too busy picking Gerrard's kids up on the school run.
 
Would imagine e critchleave will be on a decent contract which will need paying if he gets axed , he’ll be laughing financially..not sure he’s got or ever had the people skills to be a no.1…😎
 
Contrast Gerrard with Mikel Arteta at Arsenal. Arteta served his apprenticeship with probably one of the best coaches the game has seen. After a rough start at Arsenal he is starting to build a young team showing a lot of promise. Gerrard just Swans into the Rangers job employs a top coach in Beale to do the donkey work and let's face it if you can't do well at Rangers then you are going to struggle at any EPL team.
 
Manager at Rangers and you build yourself up as some top gaffer?

I ran pub sides and I could achieve that, worse case scenario you come second in a two horse race and win either the Tartan Trophy or Monster Munch Cup.
