Diversity Code

Stuff the diversity code..........................jobs should be given on merit, and merit alone, whether the applicant be black, white pink striped, male, female, two-headed, transvestite or whatever. I couldn't give a damn as long as they are good at their job! Or am I still a Nazi bigot for having that outlook?

If I understand it correctly "The Leadership Diversity Code, which is voluntary, has introduced targets for recruitment, which include 15% of new hires for senior leadership roles to be black, Asian or of mixed heritage.In coaching, it is expected that 25% of new hires will be black, Asian or of mixed heritage. For women's professional clubs which are signed up, 50% of new hires in coaching roles will be female."
I stand to be corrected/educated.

If premier league football clubs stick to the 25% BAME players rule literally hundreds of black players will be put out of work
 
If I understand it correctly the aim is to have 25% BAME filling the existing jobs. 25% for what 14% of the population, that is what is called equal opportunity. I stand to be corrected/educated.
If you are correct I totally agree with you.The only way for the club or any business to progress is to find and employ the best staff on all fronts that they can afford.

This diversity code nonsense if as described above is a crock of shit and has no place in a modern efficient competitive world.

I've edited my original post having found the piece I read last night. the 25% applies to coaching jobs. Here is the exact wording from that article "

Will this diversity bollocks just stop at the colour of one's skin, or will they soon include homosexuals, fatties, gingers and people who wear glasses?

It won't be long before people will be wanting females to play alongside men.
In some quarters that is already happening.

From the start of the 2021/2 season, every team must field a squad of 18 for each fixture, three of whom must be ginger, seven of various shades based on the Dulux paint match beige/brown card, three females and five of fluid gender, colour and sexual persuasion, but no jumping, diving or petting is permitted in the showers.
