We show promise, We get some fantastic results....... We toy with the play offs, We even got excited about automatic promotion and rightly so.
BUT...... always a massive BUT... Are the players not good enough or is the manager just ** pants?... Apart from a possible trip to Wembley in the BSM Trophy this season and even with a quarter of it to go has been pretty ** below average to poor.

You expect too much.

We are Division 3 for a reason.

At what point in the season did you get excited about automatic promotion?

We are not getting the rub of the green at the moment, first half Morgan shoots and looks like it’s going in, defender sticks a leg out and it ends up in row z, second half Marv sticks a leg out and sends Grimmy the wrong way. That’s twice in two games were we have been unlucky. Our luck will turn shortly so don’t give up just yet.

We definitely do though.

How many other teams in this division this year do we think have a bigger budget than us?

Bolton
Derby
Pompey (?)
Barnsley (???)

Those are the only realistic teams, everyone else in this division we are miles ahead of in terms of budget.

I think it's fair to say that none of us on here have a clue what budgets each club in the division have, even our own unless we believe Simon Sadler that we have a top 6 budget. You'd expect those clubs with bigger attendances to have bigger budgets but we don't know what debts they have to service that may affect their budgets.

I’d expect Reading and probably Posh to have bigger budgets than us. I bet Oxford aren’t too far off either

Having a top 6 budget does not mean that we automatically will finish in the top 6, does it! If some of our fans can't understand that and regulate their expectations accordingly then that's on them.

Would you prefer even less communication from the board (if that is even possible).

I'm not after an argument but why on earth did you think that? Sunderland who have much bigger resources than us took 6 years to get out of this division

Do you think the Portsmouth manager is a very good manager or have they spent more money than any other team. Critchley needs 2/3 quality players even now to get us in the play offs. It’s about the players, get the better ones and you’ll find success.
 
I think that Critch who I don't like and I didn't want, has improved the team . Even if the results have not gone for us ,our performances have been pretty good . I felt we should have got a result at Stevenage who are up there and were at home ,also how the hell we did not get 3 points against Charlton ,I have no idea. Yet people are still moaning about Critchley . They need to look at our performances and think has anyone dominated us in the last couple months ,I can't think of any. As long as we can keep improving I can wait one more year before we go back up.
