Do we ever beat The Shrews ?

We even lost a pre season friendly a few years ago, remember Gilks playing in goal and Joe Martin playing a sort of sweeper role and thinking he was a good signing...

At their place I can only remember the old ground in the snow on NYD in 1997. It's usually 1-0 or 2-0 to them otherwise. Which it obviously will be this weekend as well as it's one of those away games again.

I was there poolfc. It was mighty cold!
 
Only ever been once, September 78. Our first ever season in Div 3 and we lost 2-0.
Every one had such high hopes of storming the league and promotion as champions back to Div 2. How wrong we all were 😞

They had a lad in midfield who's actual name was his nickname. Took him off before he got red carded.

They were very limited but I still expected it to finish 1-1 when they started giving their subs a go and got forward. Wouldn't have counted as the whistle went but when Joseph tried to juggle a clearance and they nipped in and Dan Grim had to tip over the bar I saw my arse thinking here we go. Everyone elses corners look a threat, ours are a piss break.
