Yeah I agree I don’t think the mood in the changing rooms after the game will have been a good one at all.The manager should be tearing into them in the changing room after that second half performance. It will have more of an impact after a win than a defeat, that should have been a very comfortable win and we nearly blew it.
Living upto your nameI think sometimes people can underestimate the opposition.
Yes, Cheltenham are rock bottom; yes, they had only scored 2 goals before tonight, but that doesn’t mean it is a walk in the park..
No game is easy no matter what league you are in but we have won and deservedly so.
I have to agree about Grimmy though, he should have saved those even though the first was clearly offside.
But apart from their possession did they really look like scoring? So credit to our defence and from that perspective we did put in a complete performance. All depends if your glass is half full or half empty.
We’ve gained 3 points on Oxford, 2 on Portsmouth and are in the top 6 so a good night all round
Hmm got the job done, got the 3 points, Top 6 - am happy tonight and no reason why the players shouldn’t be.Yeah I agree I don’t think the mood in the changing rooms after the game will have been a good one at all.
We and the players should be happy with the result but not the performance, they haven’t scored away all season and we let 2 soft goals in, first one did look off tbf, we’re coasting at 3-0 ans we end up making very hard work of it against rock bottom we still need to be much better.Hmm got the job done, got the 3 points, Top 6 - am happy tonight and no reason why the players shouldn’t be.
You might want to do the maths again 66, or just the numbersFrom 4-0 up and cruising, to 3-2 and hanging on. No, you can't just brush that under the table. If they change formation, we have to counter it.
My mistake about the 4-0 but I didn't say it was at half time. That said their first was off-side.‘66, if you’re saying 4-0 up then surely it should have been 3 - 1?
I have to disagree with the “hanging on” as well.
Apart from the save Grimmy made in the first half and picking the ball out of his net twice (his mistakes btw)
He didn’t have to make another save throughout the game which shows our defence did their job so nothing has been brushed under the table and we deserved the win.
Yes, I know. I think I meant "from what should have been 4-0 up..."You might want to do the maths again 66, or just the numbers

Don't blame the players, Cheltenham manager changed formation in the second half to dominate the midfield, Critchley stood with his arms folded and did bugger all to counteract those changes. The manager should be tearing into them in the changing room after that second half performance. It is worrying when you pair it with throwing a 2 nil lead away at Charlton. From 3-0 up and cruising, to 3-2 and hanging on. No, you can't just brush that under the table. If they change formation, we have to counter it.
Ps. It should have been 4-0 at half time.
Sorry mate, when you said 4 - 0 I thought you meant the valid goal that was disallowed for the infringement on their keeper which wasn’t an infringement at all. So I meant by that logic then there offside goal should have been disallowed. My mistake about the 4-0 but I didn't say it was at half time. That said their first was off-side.
I think you must have been watching from the concourse with a pint in your hand.‘66, if you’re saying 4-0 up then surely it should have been 3 - 1?

They were cutting through our non existent midfield at will, with only Dougall offering anything.
If Kouassi hadn't have come on when he did I think they would have got something out of that game.
He single handedly halted Cheltenham's comeback, with his hold up play. I'm sure he will have the bruises to show for it today.
He might not not have scored one of the goals tonight but no one should underestimate the impact of his cameo appearance last night.
I dunno. Against a better team we don't score 3 and probably concede more than 2. Charlton showed that.I actually thought second half we managed the game well and the period after they scored I can't remember any nervous moments.
Had the off side goal been ruled out I think we would be waxing lyrical about that performance.
