I am an expert in both knitting and crochet! My mum taught me to knit when I was 7 and then I taught myself to crochet about 35 years ago from books.

This is 3 Peppa Pigs I made for my great-nieces earlier this year.

No. Have fond memories of my Grandma knitting. Something very comforting in the whole thing. Mind you, that was when there was only 3 channels on TV.
My other Grandma could only knit a few patterns she had learned. Every school photo of my Dad looks like he’s wearing the same Fairisle jumper. Apparently she also knitted him some woollen swimming trunks which would soak up half the pool on exit.
My mum can knit as well, but she’s cràp at it. Sewing is a bloodbath. She never finished the booties she started knitting when I was a baby.

...as for Knitting that is something the better half has done the last three or four years
Scarves one for me( down to my ankles on both sides),one each for our relatives kids, one for a good friend of hers and two tea cosey’s with another one on the way...and a few more projects.
Probably carry on with the new tea cosey when I’m at BR on Saturday.

Strangely today my niece posted on Facebook about teaching one of her daughters how to knit...the problem is she is left handed and the daughter isn’t ( or maybe it’s the other way round).Someone suggested that she does it in front of a mirror...too much science for me

As for Tom, he won a gold and bronze.Wonder what those critics have ever won.
