DOES NEIL APPEAL OR SHOULD WE DITCH CRITCH ?

I'm not enjoying Critch II at all but x3 is essentially right. We've had 7 league games and lost 2. And 3 cup games and won 2. Its not sacking territory.

The football is confusing and dull but we've been here before, we're on a roundabout and people just behave the same every time it goes full circle. You don't get rid of managers after 7 league games.

You wonder how and when it will change though. When the side was named for Burton I couldn't believe he'd gone with CJ and Connolly as wing backs. And they're still there and we didn't sign any. It takes him months to make small changes. Dobbie did an overnight shuffle and got an instant response from a demoralised squad. So it's possible. If you wake up, smell the coffee and decide to stick your neck out and be brave.

Unfortunately, unless he changes or they bring someone who is not a yes man then barring the odd game what we have seen so far is going to be the norm.
I think you’re right but happy to be proved wrong. I’d like the Wigan performance to be the norm but it’s looking like it may have been the extreme.

It’s like trying to drill a hole with a wooden spoon. You know it’s wrong, but are prepared to give it a chance until your fingers bleed.

Why bother in the first place?

If it was as you say we’d have lost every league game and be out of 2 cups.

I don’t like the way things are currently. But we are panicking before it’s time, in my opinion.

We’ve been here before, last year when we were clamouring for SS to get rid of MA before the international break. We then wanted him to do it at Christmas, he didn’t and look what happened. Decisive action is needed, whether that’s to sack him now, or give him a warning, get it right in the next 5 games or you’re out.

let's see where we are after 10 games, it seems to be one step forward and two back at the moment.

Signs are all there for all to see.
It’s a very poor standard in this league and we’re struggling to even score a goal.

I’ll agree on the lack of goals. Never seen us so dry for such a long patch. No creativity either.
Still the jury is out for me
W2 D3 L2 in the league, so would like to see what’s going on after a few more games.

Wish we’d change the bloody formation to suit the players better.

He’s an oddity.
He was also relentlessly stubborn in his first spell in charge, so no change there.
Drops Marv like a stone after a few bad performances.
Continues to stick with CJ etc. Refuses to accept his tactics, player selections and formations are not to blame. It’s a complete headfcuk

Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t get all this bollocks at all. Obviously, I get why fans are frustrated with the results, but this incessant negativity and calling for managerial change is beyond pathetic.

Essentially what we have here is a bunch of babies, who didn’t get their chocolate (Dobbie).. and they’re going to whine, whinge and throw their toys around until they get what they want… hopefully they never do.

Similarly there’s the whingers who want the manager to play the way they think we should play… and again are desperate to undermine the manager and promote ‘their opinion’ as being right.

Any new manager deserves sufficient time to implement their plans, without all of this utter shyte.

He's shit scared of losing so has us set up not to lose. Problem is, when he sets us up not to lose, we lose.

Where's his ****ing mentality? Have a go ffs
Exactly - I’d rather lose having a go, playing attacking entertaining football. 2.0 down and we still play turgid defensive football. Cut the shackles and have a bloody go!

I never wanted Critchley back . In general most of our games have been awful and the results have not been great , but talking about a change of manager is premature . SS will not sack him until we are really in the shit and I think we will all have to go with this until things improve or he goes. I just hope that with the style he is playing he doesn't empty the stands too much before thing improve.

Things have not gone well but it’s early days and from the games so far we really would have to be truly sh*t to get relegated from this division.

Promotion doesn’t look likely on what we have seen so far but again it’s early days.

It is just you. It's not just a case of fans being negative because of poor results. The performances are largely poor. Some players are being played out of position with little to suggest that it's a good idea. After nine games I might not expect Critchley's ideas to be fitting together like a well oiled machine but I should be able to see a germ of improvement. The frustration is not in the least surprising and it isn't a case of whingeing either. We all want wins with good goals and good performances. We're seeing precious little of any of those things.

There’s been plenty of ‘Germs of improvement’, they just get ignored

Very worrying start but we have to stick with him and hope things turn around imo, we're quickly turning into a basket case managerially and could end up in league two if we keep chopping and changing every time we have a bad run. If we are still bottom half at Christmas though it'll be a more serious question.
