Agree about Jerry but Patino was terrible tonight just didn’t seem interested one bit.
The ball was glued to his foot and he was always passing forward or driving forward.

I actually thought Madine was unfortunate. He’s being asked to play alone up front with zero support from Jerry (who’s having to play at RWB - often actually behind Ward who’s playing at RB but having to help the woeful midfield) and Theo (who looked scared to run beyond the halfway line all game). The midfield made about 2 or 3 runs to support Madine in each half but he’s also having to battle 2 tall, strong Wilder type CB’s. The fellas being flogged to death. Was knackered after 20 minutes and was then expected to chase every loose pass, lumped hoof ball and press the GK all on his own. Not a good performance but he never even had a chance.
It was tactical ineptitude at fault.

Patino is a luxury who needs workhorses around him.

You might be right to be honest. He just pisses me off that he doesn't run.
How Marv is captain is unbelievable. Can't even pass it to a tangerine shirt never mind organise a team.

I thought Carey worked very hard at closing down. Madine (maybe through fitness,) only seems to make an effort when the ball is played to the exact spot he wants it. Marv under normal circumstances could do with a spell on the bench.

I do agree to an extent. In interviews he likes to remind everyone he’s actually pretty quick… but we rarely see it in games.
Madine is the typical workhorse target man and I think he does it pretty well - just don’t think it works when playing as a lone striker and with zero support from the midfield.

I would just say that without Marv this season we would have been bottom and well out of it given the goal scoring chances he has saved us from. Bad night for him yes but he is still fantastic.

I thought Carey was very sloppy with passes. Just not in it.
Always shows flashes of a player like when he came on against PNE driving forward but it's never consistent
