Don’t think SS was there yesterday

Didn’t see him the few times I looked back. I hope the abuse a few of our simpletons have been giving him these past few weeks haven’t knocked his enthusiasm for the club. Because believe me if he stated we had to live within our means we really would be knackered.
Whatever your opinion on their individual talents players like Norburn Pennington Joseph etc do not come cheap and like the Critch says he’s had fantastic backing so let’s start showing him a bit more respect. And I know it comes with the territory if you own a football club and in some cases it’s fully deserved but SS is one of the good guys and deserves some respect.

He does indeed. Some opinions on this site are just insulting when it comes to Sadler who seems a good bloke who wants the best for Blackpool FC. It was a chronically underfunded shit show prior to him taking over - let's use the pitch for starters, then and now as a good example - and he won't risk our continued existence by splashing out on mad transfer fees for players where there is no guarantee that they will be good for us. The process for building the East has started but will take a good few years to come to fruition, and he has gone back to a manager who has a plan to make us successful. Just give it time and stop the over reactions when we get beat or are playing a bit shit.

I will add that people clamouring for progress on the new training ground should think about the situation just to the north, and consider what they would do

There’s been stuff on social media recently and in the past on here.

If he was asset stripping whilst skimping on the squad different matter.

However he isn’t far from it .
A comma in that last sentence would help, or are you saying he is close to asset stripping and skimping?! 🤣

Without even taking much time to go back and find you examples….

Herts called him “a ** useless owner”
Paulco called him “parsimonious” several times
Several posters on here compared him to the Oystons - (rapists, asset strippers and abusive).

I haven’t even bothered to look at Facebook or Twitter.

I’d say for many people they would class that as ‘being abused on social media’ even if you don’t?

I get what you're saying but that's quite lightweight isn't it? In the grand scheme of things. And it isn't by masses. Paulco is a tit and we all know that. Herts is one of the most emotional people on this forum.

And that statement, is not a million miles away from what the Oystons used to put out whether you like it or not.

Now he's a million miles better than the Oystons and actions wise not comparable. But the facts are, we've had a poor window and lost a lot of quality. And he isn't above criticism. The football on display before Saturday was rank and horrendous. If you're saying you've got a top 6 budget, you probably should be playing like it. And purchasing like it. And we haven't. Saturday was a huge improvement, but it has to be followed up now.

Can’t disagree with what you say overall there Kurt. Oystons did the same but you knew it was bullshit, SS can back up his statements.

Thin skinned? Maybe true also, but I wouldn’t appreciate a mass of my customers calling me ** useless on a public forum - you can say it part of being a club owner I guess but it’s still not a great read for anyone or their family.

I think we need to detach the on field from the off field more. He has put money in. He continues to put money in and a decent amount too. No-one else has come along to buy him out or partner- even 2 years ago when we were on the up.

He has been let down by his football advisers. He has chosen poor managers but he has backed them to the best of his ability I believe. He’s wasted a lot of money and those windows were shocking. He has a % of that on his head, but any good CEO listens to their advisers and backs their convictions.

The football is woeful (until Wigan) but it’s so early in the season it’s not worth getting stressed about.

It might be lightweight because for the good of all of us this site is well moderated. The more serious stuff is aimed at him and people close to him on that shit social media platform Twitter or X or whatever it is now called 👎
