With all the table tennis yesterday over potential fees for Josh Bowler ranging from 1.5-4 million depending who you believe got me thinking how many of the current playing squad would command a seven figure fee or more Bowler aside come the summer?.Not wishing a for any offers of course.🙂

I imagine that simo and the board have decided that this club should be a secure championship club with the occasional push for the playoffs. They know full well that to have ambitions for the Premiership are excessively costly, requiring expensive contracts and transfer fees.

I‘d love us to regularly challenge the top six, but reality says otherwise.

FI SOURCES!
Police cars revolving light
- Blackpool's Josh Bowler rejected a deadline-day move to Nottingham Forest.
Cross mark
- Forest agreed a fee for the 22-year-old but he opted to stay at Blackpool.
Money bag
- Fulham and Bournemouth had bids rejected

Interesting that even though a fee was agreed, he didn't want to go.

Or he knows in the summer he can take his pick of teams and can pick and choose
Wouldn't be surprised if 'another' club comes in for him and his value goes up.....

But that kind of money could add 2 or 3 players...and the way Critch is going, we find another Bowler or Grimshaw (who's going to be worth £2m+)
We keep bringing them in...Critch keeps training them right......profitable club keeps growing

Difficult to value some of our players becouse they like the club are beneath the radar.
Critchley is slowly building an excellent squad

We've had this discussion on another thread. Other journalists have posted the opposite.
I don't know who has the best sources.
One fact we do know is Critch didn't say post match Bowler is going nowhere which is the polar opposite of the comments coming out of P'boro and Forest.
So it seems to me was he resigned to the fact that we might lose him.
That being the case Bowlers agent will have been alerted and if his client didn't want to move he wouldn't have been busting a gut to get a deal for him.
IMO that doesn't make me believe "he didn't want to go".
Just another opinion though and I don't write for Football Insider. 😉

Nixon tweeted late last night that the final offer for Bowler was £3m but was turned down because other things wouldn't fall into place

I thought we accepted an offer last night from one or two clubs last night but something happened to cause the offers to be halved and then those were rejected?
