Not looking for a row but hows about his one
24 year old son moved to Sheffield in January - came home for my dads- his grandads funeral just over 2 weeks ago
Noticed unwell so decided not to attend
Next day told to self isolate- family finished self isolation today
In meantime job has collapsed so moving back home as here already and digs in Sheffield ending
All his stuff iPad tv ps4 clothes etc still in digs in Sheffield
According to advice can move somebody if reasonable
Would mean he and i driving there collecting gear and driving back, no stopping or contact with others

I know it's only stuff and maybe we should write it off - maybe pay another months rent if an option
Not sure if reasonable selfish or even legal
I do know I have canine fever and maybe my mind is like scramble eggs

What would you people do

I'm due back at work Monday

Has he no one in Sheffield who can store his gear for him? Maybe then use social media to find someone who heads over here for work??

I sympathise, looks like a no win to me 👍

I don't see a problem with that.
Just keep within the self isolate rules and be especially careful if you need to fill up with petrol.
PS. I might avoid the Snake or Woodhead Passes as they might be seen as a routes for potential picnickers. Stick to the motorways.

I think you should do it. Like TMoss said take any paperwork with you and write down your intended itinerary with approximate times etc. In France when people go out they have to have a form giving info on date and time you left home and where you are going.

Cheers everyone - will do it with job details and end of tenancy stuff - not going to do it this weekend due to concerns about people going out sight seeing - decided to wait until later in week say Thursday and during off peak times ( if there us still a peak ???)
Of course fill up on diesel in Blackpool and take drinks food in the car- will stick with motorway
