Duff sacked

Harsh decision in some respects. His managerial career has been on an upwards trajectory. Still think he would have been a good appt for us last Summer, it couldn’t have turned out any worse anyway.

This nonsense is down to tv money .
Massive disparity between championship and league 1.
Panic sets in amongst owners . The stakes are so high it’s understandable.
Not a fair reflection on the ability or quality of the manager.
If the tv income was more fairly distributed the football eco system would be much more stable .

Said at the time it was a strange appointment moving from Martin to Duff. A bit like us lurching from Appleton to McCarthy. Sometimes wonder about these directors of football when they employ managers with a completely different style of play to the previous manager and then find that the squad hasn't got the right sort of players and results aren't great!

Or both appointments were just crap in our case !

Championship is worth 7m more than L1? 7m doesn't get you much in the championship.

Just like Appleton and Big Mick.

He was making comments like Appleton, said he wasn’t bothered if they lost to Cardiff twice and got promoted, just another game etc and it went down not so great

I am sure they both have been well compensated for it, it must be one of the only jobs where you fail for whatever reason and still get all your contract paid up whether that's in a lump sum or instalments. They wont have gone to bed last night worrying about bills and food for xmas will they, not like people who have lost jobs with shops and businesses closing down recently

Shows your lack of knowledge as well as lack of judgement.
