And what makes you think we won't see anyone else come in?Hopefully good signing
but , not enough for me , sorry it isn’t , with injury’s and standard in the league , need another 3 or 4 quality players

I am just saying lolAnd what makes you think we won't see anyone else come in?
Reported by Chelsea journos.Dunno if it's been said but...is all this Sterling talk just speculation?
Sorry, was a weak pun, or two... speculation on sterling, solid sterling...I'll join some of the others and get in the queue for my coatReported by Chelsea journos.
Critchley probably said “you will definitely play for us, every game. We haven’t got any right back at all, the position is yours. Most importantly it will get Gofogoal , 62 years and several other usual suspects off my bloody back for a while”."The wing-back will then depart on loan for Blackpool, whose head coach Neil Critchley is understood to have played a key role in convincing Sterling to turn down several other offers and relocate to Bloomfield Road."
Critch probably promised him significant better game time and role than anywhere else.
Think we may have found our starting RB.
I’d like to see a front three of Lavery, Yates & JJ constantly rotating like we had Varney / Brett, DJ and GTF doing.Squad starting to look a bit stronger, some of the injured hopefully back soon.
We could go with something like this
Maxwell
Sterling Ekpiteta Gretarrsson James
Stewart Dougall
Bowler Anderson Mitchell
Yates
Grimshaw Connolly Husband Garbutt Wintle Lavery Madine
Yep, I have a yen that he is the real McCoy. Hopefully the shekels on our attacking talent will be removed. He should just zloty in.
A bona fide right wingback at last.Critchley probably said “you will definitely play for us, every game. We haven’t got any right back at all, the position is yours. Most importantly it will get Gofogoal , 62 years and several other usual suspects off my bloody back for a while”.
Not Hamilton, he looks totally disinterested.I’d like to see a front three of Lavery, Yates & JJ constantly rotating like we had Varney / Brett, DJ and GTF doing.

Then second half CJ and Mitchell running at tiring legs
Disinterested is harsh he just doesn’t look confident. That said I’d swap him for Bowler who I forgot I’d taken out.Not Hamilton, he looks totally disinterested.
The cloakroom is very busy at the moSorry, was a weak pun, or two... speculation on sterling, solid sterling...I'll join some of the others and get in the queue for my coat
Is still stick with disinterested, in the sense that he doesn’t try and chase anything down. 90% of his game is his pace, which is terrific, if he has lost it or won’t use it, there’s not much left.Disinterested is harsh he just doesn’t look confident. *Move back to CB
It is a good option for some games but you can't play Bowler and a fit again Mitchell in that system as well as Garbutt and Sterling. If we do sign him....and hes a genuine wing back.....Hope we go 3 at the back with him and Garbutt up and down the flanks.
At the moment, I dont know where a fit Mitchell will fit in...Bowler the way he is playing is undroppable...Ive only seen Mitchell on the right...can he play on the left ? Can Bowler play on the left ? To have these two on at the same time and switching sides at the drop of a hat could be very potent. It is a good option for some games but you can't play Bowler and a fit again Mitchell in that system as well as Garbutt and Sterling.
On second thoughts you could do if you went 3 4 3, that would be interesting!!
I think Mitchell would have been one of the first on the team sheet this season if not for the injury. He hasn't been out long so he should be up to speed pretty quickly. He is a left footer so should be able to play on the left wing although not able to cut in so easily. He has skill and pace to burn and I think with Garbutt behind him that is a really strong left side, or even Hubby or James as left back.At the moment, I dont know where a fit Mitchell will fit in...Bowler the way he is playing is undroppable...Ive only seen Mitchell on the right...can he play on the left ? Its strange that last year after 9 games Critch ditched 3 forwards into a 442...but this season is not working effectively...Mainly because Yates and Lavery are too similar and we are missing a physical presence ie Madine or Simms. If we can get Madine back soon...I cant see where John Jules will fit in, He needs to toughen up.
All IMO of course.

Mitchell on right-mid as an attacking player. We are on the brink of having lots of options, if we play Madine up front alongside Yates or Lavery probably means 4 4 2 or 3 5 2. In that case 3 at the back looks unlikely because as you say Bowler has to start on current form.At the moment, I dont know where a fit Mitchell will fit in...Bowler the way he is playing is undroppable...Ive only seen Mitchell on the right...can he play on the left ? Grettarson is far superior to Husband as a centre back…I think Mitchell would have been one of the first on the team sheet this season if not for the injury. We could always do what Holloway did, get the 2 wingers to swap sides regularly, that worked brilliantly back in the day and gives defenders real headaches. If we get Dale from Crewe, which I think is quite likely that gives us another super fast winger who can play on the left too.
As it stands and taking that we have signed Sterling my side would be:
433
Maxwell
Sterling
Ekpiteta
Husband
Garbutt
Stewart
Dougall
Anderson
Mitchell
Yates
Bowler
Or:
Maxwell
Sterling
Ekpiteta
Husband
Garbutt
Stewart
Dougall
Bowler
Mitchell
Lavery or Anderson
Yates
It's really difficult as we have some good players on the sidelines but we have scope to change it around to a 442. 532 with ease.
Debatable.Grettarson is far superior to Husband as a centre back…
Why do so many fans underestimate Hubby, he’s a quality defender.Grettarson is far superior to Husband as a centre back…
True, he does slip under a lot of peoples radars. Why do so many fans underestimate Hubby, he’s a quality defender.
He's a bit rash at times but at least he's available to play sometimes. Need more from Gretarsson.True, he does slip under a lot of peoples radars.
