East Stand Facilities

IMHO one of the things that lets BR down is the concourse areas - dark, gloomy, uninviting, packed and not very 21st century and so am just wondering what the club can do to change that in the East?
Ironically it would then be a shame if the away fans got it and then their facilities were better than ours!

I agree - the design of our concourses, in the context of match day experience, is poor. Not surprisingly, little thought appeared to go into this when fist built, and we are left with a space that most fans now avoid ( in terms of spending) I’m positive this will be rectified by our new owner and his team.

I’ve given up using the bar in the west, way too small, half time is impossible, food offering poor, even if you have a pint and crisps, you’ll have difficulty finding somewhere to put your pint while you open your crisps. Not the current owners fault of course, and I can’t see how it can be improved, because there’s no space to expand into.

I may be wrong but I'd be surprised 8f the away fans get the east. But I guess the only alternative is the south. We may have a section in the east, or one corner, perhaps, for away fans?

Away fans need to go into the new northeast corner and the first block of the east.
Keep it fenced outside and way fans onto coaches on central drive, can even build a purpose built holding pen like, Stoke, Middlesbrough, Swansea, Birmingham for the coaches to park inside. They can have a decent facilities underneath where they can give our club there money. And it will be a cracking atmosphere between the north and away fans.

Can’t see the south for away fans, that would conflict with the Heineken experience.

That would mean the north stand changing with A block moving. Why would we change such a good setup.....

The north stand is the most popular place to be, it sells out first, it we had more capacity more would want to sit there.

If we want to grow the fanbase that's the place to add to, plus if we can improve on the atmosphere with more pool fans near it imagine that.

We should take at least the NE corner.

Yes away fans closer can add to the atmosphere and banter but we should be looking to improve ourselves and grow.

SE part and corner probably best for aways as its a dead place no-one wants to be.

We should IMO aim to have the whole north part of the ground full of pool fans making an even louder noise than now.

Or at the least have the NE corner to add 1k to the north capacity, then get home fan the other side of them in the east too with vocal people.

We've got to build on the north atmosphere though.

Why would block a change ? I’ve been to dozens of ground where you’re in the corner and there abit of netting then home fans.

There’s plenty of room, the stadium was designed for office blocks not Matchday experience, alterations would cost a bit to do though that’s the only problem.

It was way more difficult to get served in the concourse at, say, Blackburn.

We should have more sensible segregation yes, haven't seen that at Bloomfield Road though, look at the SE corner for an eg. At best you might get a part of it open like there.

For that pne game just 800 pool fans near the north really added to the atmosphere, imagine adding more permanently.

Taking that ne corner with about 1k seats would be enough and the north stand would sound way louder.

Then you could give away fans the ne if we must, depending on size they could have maybe nearly 3k. Any spill over into the SE side.

I just really want to build on what we have built already, its been great last season.

I agree away fans closer makes it better banter etc but more pool fans near the north will make it louder.
