East Stand on hold?

Listening to Gary Neville on the radio this morning talking about how higher interest rates are putting the block on new construction developments.

Is this why the East Stand final planning application has not yet been submitted I wonder?

Would be good to have some clarity on this from BFC....

Before planning permission can go in, don't they need to own the land? Compulsory purchase orders haven even gone out yet.
Pretty sure the club stated that they were expecting to lodge detailed planning app in the spring. I don't know whether this was contingent on acquiring all the land. CPOs always take a long time so not sure why they would have made the spring timescale known, given that.

I thought that was just for the training ground, but I could be mistaken.

I was chatting to a Henry St resident (east side so not the compulsory purchase properties) this week and he said that a local estate agent had been sniffing around asking about his property and others being for sale.

Well unless there is loads of external funding in place, if I were Sadler I'd not bother either!!

Actually, thinking about it, I'm not sure they will have got as far as CPO. It's usual to negotiate with residents concerned and then go to CPO if they refuse an offer?

They should be well on with the negotiations, initial letters were sent ages ago back in October, obviously a lot more needed to happen since but it's been 9 months or so.

Surely offers have been made and then notice given if its accepted.
