Spent the afternoon at Hungerford Town in National League South, watching them play Eastbourne. Bumped into travelling fans, and had a chat with the Chairman. They still love their fellow Seasiders, but he was a little disappointed that BFC didn’t respond when he contacted the Club last summer regarding any possibility of a friendly. I realise that the practicality of a 600-mile round-trip pre-season renders a match unlikely (though their Chairman said they would be willing to travel), but not very ‘Blackpool’ not to reply. I am sure this was an oversight, lost in the noise but, if there’s anyone with contacts at the Club, I have the Eastbourne Chairman’s contact details. I suspect that a brief email to Eastbourne would garner a great deal of goodwill
