EBAY

Sorry its not football matter. I cancel a sale on ebay when someone had put a dodgy address up. The buyer left negative feedback. I did appeal it today it came back saying decision stands. How can this stand when sale didn't happen or item was never posted out. I don't have no option to appeal but ring them up or just live chat on ebay to sort this out.

Do I need to raise this again and the proof is there if ebay look properly at it. Ebay are blackmailing me here and not following they own rules.

How is this right when I refunded him straight away and the account look so dodgy with the address, he had put up and I did a reboust check on Google on this address and it wasn't legitimate address after all.

Any feedback would be much appreciated. I been on ebay for 15 years never had a issue like this before.

So sorry to hear you have had problems but I have found the eBay community to be very kind/fair and the feedback system works well although I’m trying to return a greenhouse cover which doesn’t fit but the seller won’t respond 🤷🏽‍♂️

Sadly as a seller on Ebay, if someone buys an item then just says it didn't arrive, unless you paid for signed for, they will get their money back.

Ive had items returned, that were clearly not the item I sent.. People buy a identical item that is broken, then swap it & send it back... cheaper than getting it fixed!! Ebay will always be on the buyers side.

I still use iEbay a little, however I try to insure myself, by videoing the item, taking serial numbers, marking the item somewhere & photographing it, I send the buyer photos/videos of the packing & serial number to dissuade them from trying to scam me, but even with this, Ebay will give them a refund (of your money) if they claim...

Eventually this will be the death of Ebay, too many scammers

I've had a few recently where people win the items but then don't pay for them or answer messages and there's no recourse on them

Unfortunately if you sell something then cancel it you run risk of getting negative feedback no matter what reason. It’s now so weighted in the buyers favour. It’s almost like they can do what they want. If they buy something and haven’t paid for it (twats) then you can cancel after 4 days and the fees are returned and item goes back on sale. E bay says none payers get a mark against them. Never seen any evidence of it. I just block the arse that bought then didn’t pay. At least they can’t do it again.

If you dig around on the internet you can eventually find a phone number to get a direct line to an actual human being. I eventually found one once on an eBay information page about selling live animals. Have a look around on message boards and eventually you should find one.

I've sold 1000s of things on eBay and probably 1 in 20 winning bidders don't pay. I'm sure it's not always buyers remorse, I think some people just like messing other people around as they tend to be repeat offenders.

Regarding the feedback appeals process, I also tried it the other day and got nowhere. I sold a watch strap with all relevant information including size etc but it don’t fit the guys watch so he left me negative feedback. They only seem to want to get involved if any of the feedback is considered abusive.
