Would need to offload as Madine, Yates, Lavery, Beesley (+Bange, Holmes and Daniels) all playing for one position in that front 3.
 
Considering how little have spent so far I am sure we could afford him for the season, question is if we go for him do we offload one, two or three of our forwards. For me go for it and send Beesley (when fit) out on loan along with Holmes and possibly either Lavery or Jerry. I have said it many times our forward line does not score enough and I do not accept the excuse of a lack of service, we have created enough chances for our forwards problem is they don’t do enough themselves to create chances or score enough. Do not think we will get him but we should make every effort, as I think he would be worth it.
 
According to todays daily Mail both Forest and Bournemouth have both made £10m bids for Middlesbrough winger Marcus Tavernier.
Clearly it looks like Bowler is out of contention now for these two.
Forest have also bid £10m for Huddersfield's Midfielder Lewis O’Brien and defender Harry Toffolo so Udder’s maybe in for Keshi yet. 😮

Boro want 15 Million if someone offers that he will be gone
 
If the rumours are true and we’ve bid £500k for Bishop, then we are either not interested in Simms or can’t afford him

I agree. I actually really like all of our forwards. Gaz is solid and a great option if going long, Jezz just keeps trying, Shayne finds chances out of nowhere, and Beesley looks a handful.
However, are any of these players going to get 15+ a season? I don’t think so. It’s a shame because if you put those four players together in a blender, you’d get an absolute class player like Zlatan. 😂

Bishop does sound like he’s a more viable option though. I’d be happy with him.
 
Let's not forget what dire straits Everton are in with their squad and also financially. They will need the likes of Simms as a squad player as they can't afford to buy in better quality. He's going nowhere.
 
We could offer £10 million for him, he’ll get us to the playoffs which we’ll win and Simon gets his money back with interest.
 
I'm honestly not sure he is the answer anyway

Looked a bit lightweight for a big lad and I'm not sure he could play as a lone striker in a 433

Anyway he's probably miles outside our budget
