Emma Hayes - now a favourite?

I said on another thread it'd be a first & who knows possibly another masterstroke.
I doubt it's the appointment we need to galvanise the squad and fans. It's not going to make fans rush out and buy a ST is it.

Based on what ?

Says who?…plus which the survey done on here reveals that decision is a done deal anyway …..could appoint Alan Titchmarsh and ST numbers would t change much

Based on nowt
This is an absolutely crucial appointment, at a time when we need to grow the club and fanbase and we need someone with experience in the men's game to keep us in the league, not take a complete left of field gamble.

You mean a left field gamble that is female. Because a left of field gamble maybe what we end up with, and if it were a male we would probably get right behind them until or unless they failed in their remit.

She has no experience working with male squads, so not like there's anything to draw on.

Like it or not its a different world.

Far too big a gamble.

Why can’t she get experience now !
Nobody has experience until they get experience. She has many other attributes and qualifications that make her an attractive appointment. She may not be right for the job, but ruling her out without consideration, for what appears to be her gender is weak.

Thats a really lame and shortsighted argument.

She has no experience in the men's game, ita totally different to managing the womens game, the women game is miles off the mens, the pressure etc, managing the players.

If she had some prior experience at some other men's clubs then its a different conversation, but she doesn't.

Now isn't the time for the gamble for us.

So it's not lame.

This appointment is absolutely crucial and people are coming out with wild names for the sake of it.

We need someone with some experience. Critch came in in league 1 and took him a while to get going, we won't be so lucky in the championship.
