England v Columbia Lionesses

Watched lots of England games and yet to see a game where bronze played well and not put us in trouble by giving the ball away and getting caught out of position Don't get the plaudits she is world class think it's become a cliché her poor play never gets mentioned they don't criticise for some reason and this has been every game I have seen .How many times did Daly mess up with nothing mentioned .Thought she was beyond shocking she did nothing right everytime play went near her and you could see she was on the edge of a mistake costing them the game which nearly happened several times .As poor as Daly is how good is rousso plenty of skill and has that pacy snap in her play
 
I think it's important to keep in mind that even though the standard isn't the same as the men's game, it really doesn't matter. The achievements of our women are just the same as the men in terms of competing against the same rest-of-world standard as the men in their respective sports, and them getting to the semi-final of the world cup is the same achievement as the men reaching that stage, and becoming European champions is better than the men have achieved. They're a quality team, worthy European champions, and I hope they go all the way.

And you’d think if you’d watched loads of the games you could spell Russo’s name right.

Bollocks in your opinion but not in mine I say what I see and not what I am told which seems to happen a lot on here .People strangely don't say what they see and always point out spelling or pred text mistakes thinking it makes their point valid .Well it doesn't all it means is you spotted a mistake but obviously you haven't a clue about football and are swayed by the screeching clueless coms

It was on the big screen in the Imperial in Exeter. Saw the second half and they deservedly won.

Well I'll start with - it's not true, the standard is high and getting better all the time as more resources go to the elite and grassroots game. It's also demeaning, unsupportive and comes across as misogynistic. Are you now in favour of aping what you assume the majority think? There might be a flaw in your argument too in that around 50 percent of the eight billion people in this world are female. Despite the incessant chipping of the many people who undoubtedly share your view, my understanding is that the rise in thw women's and girls' game gives encouragement to young girls starting out. The standard will get better. Will your attitude?

That’s all great and I’m sure true. I based my comment on the fact I forgot it was even on until I randomly saw it on the telly. Just hasn’t got the same interest as watching men’s football. That might not be the politically correct thing to say these days but not going to lie just to say the right thing.

I will watch the Australia game (if remember) so I am not knocking it and do get the general excitement.

Fair enough. I enjoyed the game yesterday a hell of a lot more than motd, and if I'm honest, our drab affair. I think the only heart stopping moment of that was Marv's brain fade and the covering block that saved his bacon. Bet it was a great day in Devon though.
