We are all fortunate in being in our own homes or a pub, and can drown out sorrows. Think about the poor sods who have spent loads to go to the world cup, are having to put up with the shenanigans of the Qataries and then have had to watch that bore fest.

Correct the USA are a decent team with a lot of players competing at a decent level and I'm not pissed off with the result, Im irate at the pathetic performance of England. I lost count of the number of passes between McGuire, Stones and Pickford.
 
Woke up this morning still annoyed at England's performance last night but after watching the news and seeing the faces of the Welsh I feel a little better 🤷

I've been advised that the team management bought a book on tactics before the tournament. It was written a few years ago by the Chuckle Brothers and is called 'from me to you, from you to me' 💩

Passion and fight was our watchword throughout the 70s and we didn't qualify for 74 and 78 and didn't need to in 70.

The Welsh have plenty of passion, haven't qualified for 64 years and after two games are probably already on the way home barring some strange series of results.

We’re still in an almost unassailable position re qualification. But what did surprise me was when someone said our players were tired. We’ve only played one game FFS. Let’s hope they are motivated against Wales along with a few changes & let’s not just qualify with a whimper but in some style. Previously I wanted us to win the group & Wales to come second, but now I’ve changed my mind so let’s finalise their fate & send them home with flea’s in their ears.
 
Its Critch ball the England way protect the ball first and foremost, works at youth and lower level falls down the higher you go. We were chit last night our caution allowed then to grow in confidence to run he show 2nd half.

Play the same tactics v Wales and there's a big chance of us being knocked out of the tournament
 
I fell asleep during the second half 😱

I have got this pesky cold and chest infection that’s doing the rounds though, in my defence, but even so 😳

It was the same against Italy in the Euros Final, Southgate tried to defend the 0-0 score line whilst he had such a wealth of attacking talent on the bench, the rest is history.
Attack is the best form of defence and he’s got the players to do it

No chance will Wales win. I'd say a 2 goal margin is the least Engcestershire will win by. And then it's 7/9 and nobody complains.

I fear for them though against any team who can move the ball quickly with only 2 touches per player before moving the ball on unless driving forward.

Yeah, the 1-0 score line, not the 0-0,
He allowed the Italians to dominate the game/possession and waited far too late into extra time to bring grealish on.
He should have gone for it in a lot earlier in my opinion, with Grealish and Foden running either side of their flanks, especially around (can't remember his name) the aging central defender who had too much of a comfortable game.
History may repeat itself unless Southgate lets the lads loose in my opinion - let's hope he proves his knockers wrong
