England vs India - First test thread

Hartley (assuming not with England) and Nathan Lyon’s could do some serious serious damage for Lancashire this year!

Be fair a 190 run first innings lead and Hartley got tonked in the first innings not even mystic meg saw that coming although she has the excuse of being dead. Just savour the moment I say. Pope MoM and rightfully so.
 
Test cricket goes from strength to strength. Cracking game, with loads of ebbs and flows. And you have to give Pope mom. Incredible innings in the context of the whole game. And it was also one for the purists rather than bish-bash-bosh.
 
I loved every minute of that, even when it looked like India were going to find a way out of trouble. They'll come at us with everything next Test, let's hope we can field a fit spin attack 🤞

Ironically with Lyons available, he probably wouldn't get in the 4 day team

What a team this is with Stokes as captain. They don't know that they are beaten!, unlike many on here...

Well ,well after reading your comment above and beforehand, I switched off from the Cricket.

Switched on TV this morning to find out England won!

Why don’t you put up the comments like other posters did about we were going to get beat by an innings and we’re going to lose the series 5-0 like some posters did? Why single out me because if you read my comments again and actually take in what I said (as clearly you haven’t) you would soon see I didn’t mention anything at all about we were going to lose did i? massive difference which for some reason only you haven’t seen that? 😴

Saying we were playing bad (which we were on day1/2) doesn’t mean we’re going to lose does it?

What about all those slagging Hartley off in the first innings for his bowling? Saying he was out of his depth? strange that you haven’t mention anything about them this morning sound familiar? 😴

But hey keep up the good work of shadowing me and don’t forget to rip in to those boys who said we were going to get stuffed 5-0 or do they not count only me? 😴

As someone pointed out yesterday it’s great to come on here the day after the result trying to say I told you we would win. 🤣

Very true but we don't prepare properly these days.

The calendar is too packed I know but need a couple of warm up games for every test series.

Bloody Hell I didn’t expect that.
It was lighthearted and it was true.
I looked at your post and thought that was it for England.
I never looked at the Cricket again until it featured on breakfast TV.

No let’s be right here you hardly ever post on here these days and when you do it’s to have a pop at me.
Like I said why haven’t you had a pop at the posters who said we’ll get stuffed 5-0 and that Hartley was out of his depth after just one innings?
If you don’t like the response don’t have a go at me in future simple you have history of doing this sort of thing with me.
