EU virus vaccine hits a problem

Apparently the vaccine manufactures are having a massive issue with multi language instructions.

''The urgency of getting a vaccine should not be an excuse for companies to cut corners on consumer protection," said Monique Goyens, the head of BEUC which represents major European consumer organisations.
🤔😷🙆🙆🙆

This must be the legal need for medicines in the EU to have usage directions in the 'local' language.

But it's the easiest of options to complete......Products entering a new market are just re-packed and then distributed if they require additional info..
The delay.......There are companies that will do this and re-ship to Europe in hours/day from that item landing......

And lets be honest...Trump says the US vaccine is due before the end of the year......which means.....sometime in 2022...

Putting two pencils up your nostrils, putting a knotted handkerchief on your head and then wobbling your head does lose a bit in translation

I read a good article in the Guardian today about vaccine programmes across the world. It gave me the impression that there's loads to do - even with the most advanced ones - before we have anything usable on a mass scale.

Surely the biggest hurdle to jump is 'selling' the need for a vaccine to combat a virus that has already attenuated?

Have heard that the Oxford team are very confident that this one works. Tests also taking place in Brazil and South Africa if memory serves. AZ currently making and stockpiling 2 billion doses at the moment from what I was told. Hopefully it won't be too long.

The way I read the article, there is also a phase 4 before a vaccine can go into full medical use.

A phase 4 clinical trial begins after a drug has been approved for use in the general population following phase 1, 2 and 3 trials to rigorously test its efficacy and safety.

The phase 4 trial is also referred to as post marketing surveillance and as the name suggests, it is conducted after the drug is already marketed and available to the general public. The main objective of the phase 4 trial is to check the drug's performance in real life scenarios, to study the long-term risks and benefits of using the drug and to discover any rare side effects.

There will be a further delay as Bill Gates has to add some nano-bots to track everyone and give kids ADHD.....

This is obviously a joke......but something tells me others will think this is totally true......!!
