I've got to say I disagree, I think it is a terrible transfer for them as Ched Evans is a 32 year old who has played most his career in League One. He's only ever had 4 seasons in the Championship and there are only 2 of them you could argue he did well in and they were over a decade ago (07/08, 10/11).That was always on the cards he lives in Wrea Green so a good move for him. I had a feeling that Pilley might have wanted him to go back to the Cods as that was the catalyst for Barton going. For what its worth I think he's a good player and will do well at the nobbers unfortunately
On loan so not necessarily a pay hike. Agree with the other factors. Why? Why not? jumped up a higher level of league no doubt a decent uplift in salary, and living in Wrea Green it’s on his doorstop.
He’ll do well there I think sadly.
I remember a good few of them said the same when they signed Tom Barkhuizen from Morecambe, he’s scored some mightily important goals for them in the time he’s been there. If I was a knobber and thank fck I am not - I would think that is an awful signing and a clear intent of investment. Guess they will be moaning like fck
Good Evan's!!I remember a good few of them said the same when they signed Tom Barkhuizen from Morecambe, he’s scored some mightily important goals for them in the time he’s been there.
Anyone going to start an Evans watch?
What baggage does Evans have why is everyone making out he's some sort of devil incarnation
He's a professional footballer, proven at this level and above
It sounds like you were there that night at the Morfa RhuddlanFootballing talent aside - he's a scumbag, pal. Re the trial: he lied to the front desk in order to get a key for the hotel room, didn't speak to the woman before, during or after and left afterwards via the fire escape. His lawyers' defence rested on drunken consent is still nevertheless consent. There's more too, just grim stuff IMO.
Have you seen the comment section on Preston's Twitter feed? Lots of fans taking issue with it; that in itself constitutes as baggage. The club is getting pelters for it and all for a six-month loan.
Yeah, course you do.I know someone that was
yes i doYeah, course you do.
I bet you were at the Sermon on the Mount as well.yes i do
It sounds like you were there that night at the Morfa Rhuddlan
I'm guessing you weren't
I know someone that was
Absolutely thisNo, it sounds like I'm capable of reading court case reportage.
The text messages on record and the fact it has been proven he lied to get a key for the hotel room is enough to tell me what kind of man he is and the kind of men he associates himself with.
And the type of people who stick up for him aren't people I'd associate with, so I'll leave it there.
I do love the comeuppance some of their fans are now receiving, as I've seen many of them act whiter than lily-white on twitter. Pointing the finger at us as a fanbase because of Owen Oyston's transgressions (who was immediately prosecuted and removed from our club for them), claiming we were fine with it and it is a reflection of the club/us as fans..32 year old loan signing from the division below, with all of the added baggage of the moral implications brought with it (and whatever you think about the court outcome, a cursory glance at the trial details tells you all you need to know about the type of man Ched Evans is).
Grim signing, even for that lot, and all for a 6 month loan. Hope it comes back to bite them in the arse.
Blessed are the cheese makers.I bet you were at the Sermon on the Mount as well.
Haven't they got David Nugent as an immobile forward who hasn't scored in ages? Not a PNE fan, but maybe a shrewd signing, won’t cost much as far as championship standards go and maybe just maybe can score some useful goals. He isn’t a mug in front of goal, although I think Ganders May have been a better option on a similar deal
Was Oyston immediately prosecuted and removed from the club? I think you need to look back and check the facts.I do love the comeuppance some of their fans are now receiving, as I've seen many of them act whiter than lily-white on twitter. Now they sign Ched Evans.
Really not sure what your point is when responding to my thread, Evans or Big Gnanders could be a cheap option that could work out well, and both have at least a decent scoring record in League 1 so worth a punt in the Championship on a short term deal.Haven't they got David Nugent as an immobile forward who hasn't scored in ages?
I think you are being a bit pedantic. Was Oyston immediately prosecuted and removed from the club? I think you need to look back and check the facts.
Vast majority of our fan base at the time thought Oyston was innocent and stitched up by the tories tbf.I think you are being a bit pedantic.
Did I mean he was immediately prosecuted and removed from the club in the LITERAL sense that as soon as he committed the act he was arrested and thrown into court to begin legal proceedings? Obviously not, he of course went through the standard legal procedure which takes a while, found guilty and removed from Blackpool FC..
His mate shags an out for the count drunken young lady then texts Ched got one here fancy a go. Ched races down there to do her too. Whether guilty or not of rape I wouldn’t want him anywhere near my daughters or my club. Some right bollux on this thread
Evans is guilty of cheating on his girlfriend
Nothing more
So what did you and your daughter think when the Oyston’s were here? Did you explain what he had been up to with a minor? His mate shags an out for the count drunken young lady then texts Ched got one here fancy a go. Ched races down there to do her too. How many has he scored in the last 18 months that aren't penalties? I'm not sure he knows where the net is. Against us he did absolutely nothing despite playing more minutes in the two games than any other Cod player.Could have been a very sly 6 month signing for us because the last time I looked we were the leagues second lowest goal scorers and crying out for someone who knows where the net is.
Like I said ‘could have’ surely a 6 month gamble to look at him give him a chance wouldn’t have broke the bank and maybe just maybe he could have found a bit of form and notched a few goals that helps us get in to the play-offs? Because boy oh boy right now we need to start scoring a good few more goals irrespective what Critchley tells us about he’s happy in the striker department. How many has he scored in the last 18 months that aren't penalties? Been shouting Oyston out for many many years certainly since he was a convicted rapist if not before. So what did you and your daughter think when the Oyston’s were here? Did you explain what he had been up to with a minor?
Bolloxyes i do
Based on what?Bollox
Are you hard of reading or thinkingI bet you were at the Sermon on the Mount as well.
