Don't think that's a great indicator - none of us were sad to see Critch go despite only missing out on the playoffs on the last day. Evatt's football was abysmal and he had alienated the whole fanbase. Should've gone long agoSo they are currently 9th just 3 points off a play-off place.
Crazy decision.
Should we of kept critchley then?So they are currently 9th just 3 points off a play-off place.
Crazy decision.
We weren’t 9th 3 points off the play-offs though so of course not so why mention him?Should we of kept critchley then?
No we were 8thWe weren’t 9th 3 points off the play-offs though so of course not so why mention him?
Really?No we were 8th
I did yes should never have come back here as I was proved right in the end a shocking decision by Sadler (he made a few)Yet you spent most of last season squawking for Critchley (who played a similar formation and style of football to Evatt) to be sacked!
Evatt is a far better manager/coach than Critchley ever will be and I still think one day soon he’ll return here.I’m just pointing out your failed logic.
If it was up to you Critchley would have been sacked last season despite BFC being higher in the league than Bolton are now and with a far lower budget.
Yet you describe Evatt’s sacking as ‘crazy’!
He's won 1 promotion and taken them to 2 play offs, narrowly missing out at Wembley last season. It's utter madness but I'm glad, I have a lot of respect for Evo and none for that club. I'm sure he'll benefit from a little time out of the game and then have a host of clubs wanting him in the summer.
Big club insist on success and they haven't had it, i think he was finished last week when he told the supporters to F off can't do that in todays game. Football is a results business end of.So they are currently 9th just 3 points off a play-off place.
Crazy decision.
No, at 3.15 on the last day of the season, we were in the playoffs...We weren’t 9th 3 points off the play-offs though so of course not so why mention him?
Yes but I say again the question asked was Critchley was potted when we were 8th when clearly wasn’t.No, at 3.15 on the last day of the season, we were in the playoffs...
We were 6 points off the top and 3 off the playoffsYes but I say again the question asked was Critchley was potted when we were 8th when clearly wasn’t.
You don’t have to disagree with everything I say you know.
So what’s your view of Evatt being potted then?We were 6 points off the top and 3 off the playoffs![]()
It was inevitable. The fans think they're better than they are.So what’s your view of Evatt being potted then?
At 3.15pm on the last day of the season you were on your way home pissed off because we'd just lost 3-2 from 1-0 up and blown any chance. They should have left Critchley in the park and ride at Reading if he was going to be sacked anyway after two league games of this season. That's what has buggered us up this year. No, at 3.15 on the last day of the season, we were in the playoffs...
Is he fuck a better coach than Critchley he's been a failure at Bolton despite having spent a fortune and not being able to get out of this league which Critchley did in his first full season.Evatt is a far better manager/coach than Critchley ever will be and I still think one day soon he’ll return here.
I also think Bolton would have comfortably secured a play-off spot this season had they kept Evatt they probably still will for the new man coming in as they are a strong team.
True enough. I'd forgotten it was an early kick off.At 3.15pm on the last day of the season you were on your way home pissed off because we'd just lost 3-2 from 1-0 up and blown any chance. They should have left Critchley in the park and ride at Reading if he was going to be sacked anyway after two league games of this season. That's what has buggered us up this year.
For Evatt he looked and sounded knackered after they almost blew their lead against Barnsley in the 2nd leg of the play offs. He's lost a load of weight and I'm not sure if that's a lifestyle choice or the job getting to him.
I had a great time at Leyton Orient, Port Vale, Cheltenham, Burton Albion, Lincoln, Wigan, Stevenage, Cambridge last season. Is he fuck a better coach than Critchley he's been a failure at Bolton despite having spent a fortune and not being able to get out of this league which Critchley did in his first full season.
Despite low crowds and a bottom four budget he easily kept us in the Championship.
Oh and Evatt was another three at the back man our previous coach got slated for.
The hatred of NC is unjustified.
As said previously above one promotion and 2 play off final defeats he’s hardly failed has he?Is he fuck a better coach than Critchley he's been a failure at Bolton despite having spent a fortune and not being able to get out of this league which Critchley did in his first full season.
Despite low crowds and a bottom four budget he easily kept us in the Championship.

Most fans think they're better than they are to be fairIt was inevitable. The fans think they're better than they are.
Ian Evatt's tangerine, he hates Bolton.
They haven't spent a fortune but a lot more than us. Yet on the other thread about who's spent what table you say it proves you need to spend for success. As said previously above one promotion and 2 play off final defeats he’s hardly failed has he?
And they haven’t really spent a fortune have they? A lot more than us yes but that’s no surprise they pay bigger wages yes but their gates are more than twice ours.
Like I said I still think they'll get in the play offs this season as they are a decent side.
Everyone has an opinion on Critchley mine is he was a very poor manager and shouldn’t have been re-appointed back here.
He won’t last the season out at Hearts just wait and see many fans already want him gone.
Well I can message my Bolton mate and he'll reel of all the away disappointments he's been to over the last couple of seasons also.I had a great time at Leyton Orient, Port Vale, Cheltenham, Burton Albion, Lincoln, Wigan, Stevenage, Cambridge last season.
Numerous occasions last season we played the exact same way away from home and the performance was utterly abysmal. NC got away with murder and should have been potted in December of that season.
It’s all depends on what you consider to be a fortune. They haven't spent a fortune but a lot more than us. Yet on the other thread about who's spent what table you say it proves you need to spend for success.
Make your mind up.
Evatt was a failure with his budget.
Message him now then and ask him if he wanted him out on the way to the play-off final?Well I can message my Bolton mate and he'll reel of all the away disappointments he's been to over the last couple of seasons also.
He's wanted Evatt out for the last 18 months.
I don't really give a toss about Ian Evatt the manager.Well I can message my Bolton mate and he'll reel of all the away disappointments he's been to over the last couple of seasons also.
He's wanted Evatt out for the last 18 months.
Not when we sacked him?No we were 8th
Or the Johnstones Paint thing.Message him now then and ask him if he wanted him out on the way to the play-off final?
They fell off from the start of last year for automatic but it’s only got bad for him since the start of this season…
He stayed for that one.Or the Johnstones Paint thing.
Or Ryan Lowe!Dear Bolton,
