I’ve just travelled up from t’south coast, (6 1/2 bleeding hours it took ) to visit family and was looking forward to reading the Gazette and last nights match report against Swansea.

What did I find after spending £1.20 of my hard earned cash?

Nothing, not a bloody word. What has the world come to?

What do you actually do Mr Scrafton apart from a few pings on Twitter????🤬

Dunno if you smoke roll ups but from first of April all fag papers are going online only.😗

Front page summed it up, Swan attack horror.
Overall the Gazette is poor in every department. Canners sometimes does a feature that is okish. Maybe the reporters are these tixtockers, waste of time. The football reort maybe in tomorrows edition if someone went or saw it on red button.

It's up to date on line.

I have an Evening Gazette delivered. It arrives with my morning paper at about 8.00am.
The latest time for any news is apparently 7.45pm the previous day so no chance of an
evening k.o. match report.
The paper itself is appalling with spelling errors and much of the news is about 2 - 3 days behind.
The price at 1.20 I also believe is extortionate as it is more than a daily morning paper.

Yet you still have it delivered?🤣🤣🤣👍🏻

My wife insists on it -- she always reads the obituaries first - then we pass it on to our neighbour.
I would have stopped delivery years ago!

He writes his pieces for the website as it isn’t the 1980’s anymore. Local newspapers are all but dead in print version and the Gazette certainly has been for 5/6 years

Like every other paper, lost it's relevance as soon as the internet came along.
My first thing I'd do after school was go in to the paper shop and look at the back page.
Not looked at either the front or back page for years.

I always used to get papers, Mirror in the morning and Gazette at night, haven't bought one in 15+ years.

Jeez that’s appalling… even national morning papers manage match reports.

Not especially surprising though. ‘Local’ newspapers are just commodified products for carrying an ever-declining quantity of advertising. The EG isn’t even produced in Blackpool any more.

If you want to support a ‘local’ business you’re generally better off at McDonald’s
