Ever wonder why Reece James left?

Can’t be true surly. How can such a bang average player get that?
Also why offer 25k. I doubt he would of turned down 15k pw.
It's as close to a factamundo short of Reece telling me to my face.
Seems like he's got a very good agent.

£25k isn't quite the top end for the Championship, but it's not far off, so it's a little bit implausible for a L1 player no matter how good his agent is.

I wouldn't post this if I wasn't 99.9% certain it's true. The information has come from Reece himself via someone both he and I know.

The Wendies are paying him £25k pw.
It is only for 12 months though.
I think you’ve been had on or have misheard. There’s absolutely no chance he’s on that money. From a purely common sense perspective he was unlikely to be on more than 5k at Blackpool (likely he was on half that) and wasn’t exactly massively in demand. Whilst Wednesday could have offered him more than Blackpool they weren’t offering him 5/6 times his salary as they simply didn’t need to.

Believe what you want.
If it had been believable I wouldn't have posted it.

Completely false info 😂 friends with a few Wednesday fans and they seem to think he’s in about 5-6k PW for context bannan is their highest on 20k pw
My source is impeccable. I accept it looks unbelievable and like I said that's why I posted it. Thinking about it perhaps (and this is speculation on my part) we wanted rid and let him go for next to nothing feewise and that saving for The Wendies has been built into Reece's weekly wage packet.
My source isn't someone that's turned up out of the blue. He has spoken to me about Reece before because he sees him from time to time.

That’s a £1.2 million pound contract. It was reported we let him go for an ‘undisclosed fee’ - so even assuming that’s just 99p that’s a hell of a lot of money to value a player who was third/fourth choice left back at Blackpool FC

Thinking, objectively, perhaps there's some kind of signing-on bonus that works out at £10,000 or so p/w for the first year.

Still mega-money for BFC surplus though.

Clearly not impeccable if that’s the info ur getting..

Regardless of his financial position, he wasn’t really any good for us. Maybe they just suited him better. Good luck to him.

Sounds like a Massive exaggeration to me or James is pretending he is a wise Owl. The Wednesday owner would never pay £1.3m per year to James. His past record shows he has problems paying wages at all

Seems extremely improbable unless they're doing it for tax write off purposes or something , why pay a player 5 x his market value when he wasn't even in demand?.

If true Wednesday are a complete basket case which I suppose isn't impossible.
