Fall Guy Players

We always seem to have ‘fall guy’ players in the squad who get the fans wrath.
This season CJ, Norburn and Oakley-Boothe were in there (with an early appearance for Carey), so how have been your memorable fall guys over the years?!
 
Adrian Forbes was really badly treated by fans and I never really know why.
Anyone who came in under Riga.
Andy Peyton was as popular as herpes.
Also weirdly towards the end Tom Ince which I never really understood.
 
One of the ones I remember was the Col Methven / Shaun Elliott debate.

Elliott was a stroller, good on the ball but lazy. Col hard working, combative made a couple of mistakes early with us and folk got on his back something bad. By the end of the season it had turned round the complete opposite as everyone realised.
 
I could never understand why "Skull" was out of favour. Absolute rock at the back. I liked Elliott but his form tailed off quickly after a strong start, as I remember

Don't forget Connolly.

John O'Kane. Now he'd get sympathy for his mental health issues.
 
Got to be John O’Kane,O’Kane for Freeport was often chanted loudly in the South.he got dogs abuse,terrible really.
 
The beauty about these early fall guys is that there was little internet ,so people did not jump on the bandwagon as easy . Now you get someone saying a player is sh@t and he gets likes which I don't understand.
 
Another sad one was Mickey Walsh, the defender not the forward.

A good player in his day, by the end of his time with us he was way off it. He was having a real mare one home game and the crowd were all over him. We got a corner at the South end, Walshy went up for it. Shouted something like come on let's get this one in, the whole South heard it and everyone just laughed. He'd been that bad there wasn't a lot else to do.

A guy near me was all over GTF every game . Really loud abuse . After he scored in one match he ran over to this bloke and gave it back both barrels, but still the bloke just couldn’t stand him for some reason .
Just seem Mike BFC post, same incident I reckon.

I thought we were talking more generally always got flack from our fan base not a handful having a go every now and then in that case the list of players would be endless.
 
Anyone remember Dave Robinson the centre forward Billy Ayre brought in from Peterborough?,he was proper shite.
 
Remember Dave Bamber getting stick in his first spell. We called him a time bomb as he was going to just explode one day
