Agreed, these past 6 games certainly count for something if you zoom in on the specifics of what he's done and had to work with.

He certainly has to be a finalist, but ultimately he's not nailed on like everyone thinks he should be and we as fans need to prepare expectations for if he doesn't get the job.

The way some people are talking about him is only setting themselves up for disappointment if it's not him.

There appears to be a strong list of candidates (way stronger than last time we were hiring a manager in League 1) and I will back whoever is given the job. 👍
I don't understand why we had such a weak list of candidates last year, in the Championship. Maybe a lot didn't fancy following on from Critch. Appleton himself didn't appear to fancy it. 😆

That's a good question 😂

I think the market for managers was just a bit worse last Summer and we really weren't as prepared for bringing a new man in as we are now. Critchley left and we had to scramble to get names.

We have been preparing for a new manager since Dobbie was appointed, the list is noticeably stronger due to how much time we've had to prepare.
