Favourite Island

That bank isn't actually sand at all it’s pebbles and coarse gravel some of the stones are quite large, went ashore on it last year seems weird when your on it.

There is an article somewhere (possibly Gazette) saying that it's effectively land and is growing all the time.

Indeed It is Mac, until a year or so ago every high tide always used to cover it but like you say it’s growing so much only the very big tides now around 9 metre plus cover it even then only by a foot or so.
Be a hotel on it in a few years time. 😂

You jest but it wouldn't surprise me at all. Certainly would have a good USP.

I’m a regular in Lanzarote but never been to Gran Canaria. I watched a programme the other night where someone was on a motor bike ride round Gran Canaria and it did indeed look stunning.
I'm traffordtang two. The high part of Gran Canaria is amazing. Especially on a bike! I also love going up Teide on Tenerife, where they filmed some Planet of the Apes, in the crater. First time I went there was cloud seeping into the crater over the lip and I kept expecting a monkey's head to pop up from behind a rock. Different planet up there.

Agree about Teide especially when you’re above the clouds looking down on them. All of the Canary Islands are unique in their own way.
