I've just got myself two beer machines. The perfect draft and the Krupp sub. The Stella on the PD is magnificent, Hertog Jan, Lowenbrau and Spaten very good. On the sub the cruzcampo has stood out. Ive tried moretti but think it's massively overrated.

Anything served in a pub roll on Monday.

You can have the finest beer in the world but sat at home on your own drinking ain't the same.

I’ll take a Stella off you old mate 👍🍺

The Stella on the PD is totally different to the stuff in this country. Straight from Belgium, got a jupiler next

Each to their own but honestly can't see the point of paying nearly 3 quid a pint for a fancy machine to serve Lager when you can get it in a pub for a little bit more.

At home - Red Stripe, Birra Moretti, Peroni, Warsteiners, Heineken, Corona, Strapomen

In a pub I prefer bitter or Guinness as a rule, but the odd Stella or Kronenbourg 1664 is OK.

Hic

I quite like the Czech and some northern Germany lagers. Staropramen and Kölsch. Yes, I realise Kölsch is a hybrid with top-fermenting yeast. But the best lager I ever tasted was a pint bottle of Tusker, brewed in Nairobi, way up north in Marsabit, when it was 95F in the shade. Deliciously crisp and bitter. I am not keen on sweet lagers such as Italian and French types, esp. those brewed with maize.

Looked at that Phillips Perfect draft machine.... it had 7 or 8 beers available.....but only 2 I would consider drinking
If you do the maths with a pint of Stella working out at roughly £3.00 a pint and £250 to pour it...!!!
I could fill a bottle fridge in the 'pub' we have built in the garage with 200 cans of Stella.....

And as for the best 'Larger'.......I'm really partial to the 1079 Project Pilsner from Aldi....cracking for just £2.49 for 4 cans
If you fancy something a bit special....Forepure & Cloudwater do some great (alternative) largers
I also like BeerBrothers....but since I found out they are PNE fans I refuse to buy their wonderful IPA and Craft larger...😢

There are over 40 beers available now. With discount codes and the return of keg deposits its more like £2 a pint

Lager is a Fanny’s drink.

Real men drink proper bitter.
Not sure about that been drinking the stuff for over 30yrs never thought myself as a fanny just don't like Bitter.
Do find it a bit weird that Bitter bores come out in force telling us what to drink they can royally GTF. 👍

Cheap lager - Red Stripe 55p a can from Home Bargains.
Decent beer - Peroni or Birra Morretti
Top lager - Paulaner or Erdinger - 3 for £5 at big Tesco.

Love anything Helles and Weissbeir.

Stocked up on Hoegaarden when it was 79p at bottle in Home Bargains, serve with a slice of Orange ❤️👍👍👍👍👍

That’s sounds like an admission, you’re a lager drinker🤔
Have the odd pint of really chilled lager and lime when it’s a hot day (which isn’t very often) which is a real Fanny’s drink but an old fashioned bitter drinker always have been.
The head makes all the difference. 😮

To be fair, I’m quite happy drinking both, subject to certain standards. As far as real ale is concerned, Loweswater Gold takes some beating. Best wheat beer I’ve tried is Einstock, it’s excellent. Only problem is, it’s not easy to find, although my local hostelry has it on draught.
As far as larger is concerned Peroni, Estrella and San Miguel are acceptable libations.

I wouldn’t mop the floor with Fosters. (Possibly the worst larger in the world)🤮

Warsteiner, Krombacher or Erdinger are my drink of choice at home.
In a pub. Generally bitter but I'm a beer whore so not particularly arsed. ( Except John Smith's cos that's liquid shite)

Prefer Alt if I'm drinking north German beer. I find the Czechs a tad bitter but still like Budvar.

Prefer cask ales myself but will drink lager with no problem. Had many on my travels. Anything German is good and got quite a taste for Tsingtao when living in Hong Kong. Don’t mind Efes, Budvar or Tiger. Reminds me, must get some in for tomorrow 🍻
