Few bits from last night

Barnsley beat Oxford with just one shot on target.
Cheltenham last to Bolton with 17 shots on target compared to Bolton's 7 with the opposition having twice as many shots on target than the home side.
Derby didn't have one shot on target against Reading and lost 1-0

Take from that what you will but interesting how few shots on targets teams have to deal with and when you get them, make them count.

I watched the Bolton game. They were very lucky to win and their form isn't great atm... long may that continue and they start getting the results they deserve!

Surely those stats can't be right? Some of our fans on here have been bigging up the top 6 as done and dusted and we should give up on a play off place.

Watched the Bolton game . Cheltenham had a goal disallowed and so many good chances but unfortunately couldn’t hit a cows arse with a banjo .
Barnsley also rode their luck in terrible conditions, Oxford having numerous chances with Brannagan smashing a shot against the crossbar .
What I take from those games is that both Bolton and Barnsley are riding their luck to some extent,
but you need a bit of luck to get promoted .

Was reading their forum this morning and they're all saying they'll be lucky to get over the line and even then they can't see them winning in a play off situation.

Bolton are top of the form table with 5 wins from their last 6 games!
Thing with Bolton Voy is that they have ups and downs.
Remember early on in the season they we’re flying and then they got hammered by Wigan which seemed to take the wind out of their sails because the went on a bit of a decline.
They then had a good run which kept them well in touch with the top teams. This was folllowed by another slump and then they come good yet again.
Living in Bolton I have a lot of mates who support them and a few have admitted they were lucky last night but, as they also said, a win is a win.
But, like most supporters they are very fickle. About November time they were having doubts about Evatt and saying he had run out of ideas.
What is it with football supporters ????

Their form does vary but they are on a dip at the minute and are still are eeking out 1-0 wins. Their fans are ridiculous. As bad as ours!

Bolton and Barnsley play shite last night and win whereas we play shite against Cambridge, PV, Burton and end up with 0 points.

Can anyone see the difference?🤷

The " Blackpool way " is to be in form in the last month and sneak into the playoffs while everyone else stutters for wins, it's happening again hopefully.

Or more often than not have a mid table position and fade out without challenging for the playoffs. We’ve spent a hell of a lot of seasons in this division.

Northampton have come from being in relegation trouble when we played them on November 28th to now being 5 pts behind us with a game in hand
