Defensive and midfield recruits may turn some potential defeats into draws.

But the failure to sign a prolific league one quality goal scorer looks ominous.

Inadequate wins could threaten relegation and the head coach's job.

Or bolstering up the back line and midfield might take some pressure away from the front 3 and allow them to play the free flowing, confident way we saw in preseason, particularly against Everton and Liverpool

Yes agree iv said for weeks there's no goals in the squad just Wikipedia each player look at player game goal ratio its pretty bad viewing.

Do you think Yates will take his shirt off when he scores today?

The squad is now very impressive and full of players more than capable of starring for every team in this division. They will however need time to bed in. Hopefully results improve immediately but I’m more interested in performances improving as results will naturally follow. We won’t truly know where we’re at as a unit until December / Christmas time. If we’re not winning games immediately that’s not the time for bed wetting. Give this team patience and we’ll be rewarded. Luckily Sadler, Critchley and Mansford are fully understanding of the medium and long term plans seemingly unlike the O/P. Critch is NOT under any pressure from the board at this time.
