Fight at the service station

Been waiting for someone to mention this but not heard anything
Does anyone know what happened at the service station on the way back from Bristol, around 1 1/2-2 hours away on the way home, a Blackpool fan told us there had been a fight with pool fans fighting pool fans?
A lad who had his face a bit smashed up was being interviewed by police
I could understand it slightly if it was 2023 with pne playing Bristol rovers away in league 2 whilst we were playing Bristol city away on the same day ( assuming Bristol city get promoted to the premiership)
Hopefully it was wrong info & just some knobheads who had no association with the pool but he seemed pretty certain

We saw it (Manchester Seasiders) but not too much context.
The quote from our brilliant driver was "100 punches thrown, 3 landed".

It was a big lad who was a Pool fan getting punched to the floor by a younger lad who then ran onto a minibus and hid. Police were there within minutes and an old lady pointed them in the direction of the minibus.
Police talked to them for a bit and then the bus drove off.
I think the lad who got the worst of it had a bloody nose and ripped t shirt but it wasn't too bad. The reason I think they might have been all Pool fans was when he went down, some others stopped the one on his feet from kicking him on the floor.
A few of us unwittingly walked through the 'fight' on a way back from a piss break, so it was hardly the rumble in the jungle. 😄

I heard there was a bit of a scrap pre-match with 15 - 20 home fans jumping 4 'Pool. Some didn't seem happy about it on twitter after the game

There must have been something in the Bristol air!

I didn’t see anything but all the four needed to do was turn and say ‘boo’ to the City fans. They’d have shit themselves.

From what I read they gave as good as they got

I was surprised to hear there was trouble with Bristol, people were describing it being a bit tasty post-match as well as everyone was just let out together. You don't associate a place like Bristol with hooliganism really!

Bad form. Everyone knows the rules. We don’t settle disputes at the service station. We arrange it on here in an orderly manner to take place at the Windmill.

They've been rioting earlier this year!!

We saw a bit of trouble after we left the ground. One of the Bristol lot had side swiped one of our fans (I didn’t actually see that take place). We were walking just behind the lad who got hit and a small group of Bristol started shouting the odds, coppers didn’t do too much and weren’t much help. I loitered just in case it boiled over, I’m no Rocky Balboa but I wouldn’t leave a couple of our own to get a pasting. I just don’t understand the in-fighting amongst our fans, at the end of the day we’re all Blackpool and we stand together.
