Final chance to go with Dad's, First time to go with kids!

As many others have said, a chance to go to Wembley might have been a final chance for son's to go with their aging Dads or young Dad's to take their young kids and create memories.
Critchley denied us of that with an awful team selection (one of my posts as soon as the team came out said no sane man would think you can win a game with Beesley up top).
He should be ashamed this morning rather than blaming the referee and anyone else he feels fit to blame.

Sort of glad we lost because if we had drawn either Bradford or Wycombe and faced Posh at Wembley it would of been carnage..

I think we've all started to take Wembley for granted. Leave it until next season .. FA Cup Final obviously!!

I want Critchley out more than anyone but can't use emotional stuff like that against Critchley. Even with our first team, they would have run riot. The system we play is the issue and that wouldn't change regardless of who we played.

Let's be fair as well. Half the fanbase didn't turn up so why should Critchley take it seriously? Never crossed my mind to go so I'm not going to start slating the team he picked. I will however comment on the general tactics and formation as that highlighted the problems we have faced all season.

I’m Critchley out but you can’t put that kind of thing on him. He’s got his selection massively wrong last night but he is trying to manage the squad. What should never be a consideration for him is it being someone’s last chance to see the team at Wembley

No permutations of our squad would have won last night, simply because they are not good enough. If it wasn’t for the goals of Jordan Rhodes I fear that a relegation scrap would be on the cards. We are just not physically strong enough. Peterborough are a young side yet they were the men against boys. Recruiting players of strength is a must for next season.

Yeh unfortunately it boils down to this. Peterborough are head and shoulders above us. Tactics arent helping us but we are just nowhere near as good as them regardless of what team or formation we had put out. It should be a huge wake up call for anyone at our club from manager up to owner that we are well short for a promotion chasing team. Im not even talking a couple of players either, we are 7 or 8 first team players short. Such a gulf in not only football ability which was evident but also in strength and physicality.
Peterborough not only out played us but they also pressed very well and cleverly too to get the ball back and cut out our passing routes. We simply had no pass on, no movement so we just hoofed it back to there defenders to then pass it round us again.
Critchley talks a lot about what a Blackpool team is or should be but ive no idea who has told him this. For me a Blackpool team is going out to win regardless of who we play, high tempo and high pressing and hard working. You cant always get it right and you will have off days but i dont see any of it. Critchleys idea of a Blackpool team seem to be a team of plucky sloggers.
