Both my lovely wife and my eldest lad have red hair…….you think they love having the piss ripped out of them, find it funny? My lad had red hair, luckily for him he was a good footy player who was semi pro and is a hard fcker who liked a scrap (unlike me) so had never had an ounce of bother. I do feel for some red heads it seems an accepted form of obuse that would be deemed unacceptable if referring to skin colour or sexuality.

My adored dad used to have red hair, which was always much admired, although it’s gone white now. At the age of 98, he’s led an incredible life and therefore I always associate red hair, with strength and success…in fact he attributes his ‘drive’ down to his Irish, great aunt, who had flaming red hair.
