Football Pundits you have an irrational hatred of

Glenn hoddle ….

I love Hoddle, what a player and criminally underused as a coach if not a manager.

Obviously I wouldn't know him myself but many in the game say he couldn't handle the man management side, this is often a get out for footballers with the hump but it seems that the majority of players say this.

He doesn't seem popular on the co-commentator/pundit front either.

I'll always love him but I think it will just be me and his mum.

There's only a few of them I tolerate, the analysis gets muted most of the time.

Mark Lawrenson was the absolute shits.

Nowadays, Sue Smith or Karen Carney

Funny you say Sue Smith.

Generally my opinions on female pundits would be in line with those of Joey Barton but I sometimes watch Sue Smith going through the weekend games on a monday with Stephen Warnock on Sky and whether or not I agree with her on points, I think that she speaks sensibly and makes her points well and I can listen to her.

Personally, I'd make her the best female pundit in the game and by a considerable distance.

Is it because she is Scouse ?

Admittedly, I usually record MotD & hit f/f when the pundits come on - however you have to be pretty quick on the button to defeat Shearer droning on about how great he was & how amusingly he used to elbow opposition players in the face, along with his many other humorous anecdotes - such as the time when the new kit came in at Blackburn & there was a right old scuffle over who could grab the big shirts first….

Hilarious stuff! Why, sometimes ‘tis almost as if Shakespeare himself were in the room….😴

Totally agree with this. She's very good

If you don't like the football bullshit analysis just fast forward it like I generally do, unless some big club has come unstuck then maybe it's worth it for a chortle. Only twerp I dislike is that Pougatch pillock.

Spot on. I only watch the games. Turn over at half time. Can't bear it.

Soccer Saturday got to find Clinton Morrison's fake "man dem gangsta" accent. It's embarrassing.

Micheal Owen, he was a great player but what a boring man and loves to point out the obvious. I remember him saying something along the lines of "If he had put that in the net, they would have scored." No shit Sherlock. He's painful to listen too especially when you compare him to somone like Ian Wright, who is knowledgeable, straight talking and has some funny moments to boot.

I like McCoist. His co-commentaries are like he's sat in your lounge with you with a can on lager having a bit of banter at the match. Less boring than nearly all the others.
That's an interesting take on football punditry. 😉 I get what you mean but he does just talk gibberish the whole time and it became annoying to me years ago. And now I groan when I hear his voice. My dad had the same feeling about John Motson, couldn't bear him!
