Forest's mid-season break thrown in to chaos?

Five Live said the players and staff were planning some time away as they aren't playing until the 20th - presume that means the replay will be next week?

Next league game for Forest is Brentford away on Saturday 20th (530pm ko)
Replay could be either the Tuesday or Wednesday night of week 14th Jan.

Forest’s warm weather break prob just be couple of days shorter now ….

They ain't winning the FA Cup so they may aswell let the regulars go on holiday and send a fringe side.
Yep if they don't have their break they could be fatigued and risk relegation.

Better to let them go and play the reserves.

Be sensible guys.

Forest mid season break. Why?
They have played 22 games so far this season, we have played 35
Premier League have 2 weeks of 5 games so they all get a fortnight off staggered over 3 weeks

We have already played 10 Cup ties with at least one more to come

I think part of the reason is to limit the damage caused by AFCON. We're the most affected team in the league with 6 out there, would've been 7 if Awoniyi was fit.

I don't think it's quite as simple as looking at amount of games played either. I used to think similarly before we went up...less games on nicer pitches, flying to games (lol) means fresher players etc but the actual intensity and speed of the games in the top flight is incredible. It's no coincidence that as a league there have been more injuries suffered this season than previously. It seems to be showing no sign of getting physically easier.

Let's hope they get away to the sun before the replay. It'll make a freezing January night on the Fylde Coast even more appealing to them 😂

Arrogance. Sweep 'little Blackpool' out of the way and head off on holiday. Perhaps that's why they put out a strong team. Serves 'em right.

It was reported that the Florists with their crybaby manager have 3 days bonding booked at St Georges Park.
They'd be wise to follow that with a few days in the sun & play their under 21's in the replay!
