There are plenty of good CB’s in this league….unfortunately none of them play for us.

He would be shite in our formation. The central CB is expected to be a ball player and a sweeper.

The left and right CB are expected to operate as full backs. The number of times that the ball was at either Penn or Casey’s feet in a crossing position is very disconcerting.

It’s a common phase of play where the wide man roles it back to the full back to whip in a first time cross. In our case it’s Garbriel playing back to a 6’3” centre back who is expected to whip in a Beckham esque cross. I don’t know why but that pissed me off so much today.

Matt Pennington being asked to whip crosses in I’m not having he signed up for that.

Unless your centre half is Lothar Mattheus or that Yugoslavia one I can’t spell I’m not sure that’s the best tactic.

Happens all the time too.

But it wouldn’t if we had a winger laying it back to a full back. Which would be normal.
