Formation last night

Sitting near the halfway line in the west stand last night opened my eyes a bit to one of our big problems. Especially in the first half every time we went forward we had a flat front line of 5 players wanting the ball played into them and absolutely nobody in midfield which lead to whoever had the ball simply just hoofing it up and hoping it goes to one of them because there was absolutely nobody in midfield to link up with.

I don’t know if this was just because dembele was on the bench in the first half but it was very frustrating watching this happen every time we tried to get forward and something I hadn’t noticed as much watching on the tele.

The formation was like 4-1-5 when we got the ball with just a massive empty chasm of no pool players in midfield.

I’m not in any way trying to be negative just something I noticed sat at the halfway line

It's been like that for the majority of the season 🤷

First one sat near the half way line, I usually sit in the south. But even if it was, why would that matter? I still watch most of the games whether or not I physically go. People that go to every game frankly need to get off their high horse

We all witnessed the total change after the subs and formation change and now we await Saturday for Critchley to revert to type.
