Francis Lee RIP

One of my early Football player (other than BFC) memories. The master of simulation well before it became a thing. As mentioned he had a loo roll business, used to see his F.H Lee wagons on the motorway a lot. RIP Franny.

Yeh, after a long battle against lung cancer, played in that memorable City side of the late 60’s early 70’s along with Bell, Sumerbee, Young etc.
, RIP Franny. ☹️

I always remember him for diving when he got any contact in the box. Good player in his day, and made his fortune
outside of football so smart and hard working to go with it.

I could be totally wrong here but remember him playing at Bloomfield Rd not long after he had retired in either a charity/testimonial game for Stoke City and scoring 4 goals.

Got his autograph as a kid by writing to him and starting the letter Dear Franny which my dad didn't like.He thought it was disrespectful as a kid. He sent the picture back though signed.
One of the names of my childhood. Not a bad player either.

RIP .

He was my friends idol when I was at school. Great player built like a small tank. RIP Franny, again another name from my childhood gone 😢

RIP, a good player and probably a good lad I think, and part of a great City side back then.
Very different days to now though obviously.
