You get 3 large chickens for a Tenner in Booths.Maybe for 1 person! And £15 for a large chicken? Eh? £4 in Aldi!
I do like your posts but your lovely recipes seem more "lavish" than frugal.
Will give them a try ,hope they work on the fartometer .I was a Heinz through and through, from a kid to a couple of years ago, then I tried a tin of Stockwell (Tesco's own label) after Heinz became inconsistent, a tin of Stockwell only cost 22p so I tried them thinking they'd be shite, trust me, they're great (no they're not Frosties), you should try them.
Not me Brett. I was as nastied out as you by the phrase any mental baggage it carriedDoes spu#nked on a chicken mean what the common man would think it means? If so ..... urghhhh you dirty git!!
Sounds good, but I’ll take the chips if they’re as cheapPenna pasta tossed in butter, seasoning with grated parmesan cheese. Cheap as chips!
Don’t forget homemade burgers, mashed potatoes and sauerkraut.Beef mince, so versatile in the making of:
Cottage pie.
Spag Bol.
Chilli con carne.
Mince and tatties.
Mince & onion pie.
Beans(not the Heinz variety) and rice. I virtually live off it. You've got to know how to cook the beans, of course, but it's not difficult. Chickpeas too, great stuff! For those struggling at the moment let me know and I will give you some tips for cheap nourishing meals
