Fulham Fan Clare pays tribute to her Dad - Paul Parish remembered

For those that have asked for the interview to be a stand-a-lone video so that they can share it without the whole match day vlog in particular Chris Hull who once again was instrumental in arranging something so beautiful he is a very special man and also for everyone else involved in bringing Clare up to Blackpool to pay her tribute to the wonderful Blackpool Football Club medics who raced over and were first on the scene to try and save her dads life I am so proud to have put this together for you to share.

For me this video shows how wonderful we are as a club and as people from Blackpool. As I have travelled around the country this season with Jane filming our Football Tourist Guide videos we end up chatting with so many other football fans and every time we mention that we are Blackpool Fans we get a very similar reaction. They talk about how much they loved us in the Premier League giving it to the big boys, how sad they were that we got relegated, how we became their 2nd team, how much they respect us for NAPM, how happy they are that we are back and we got rid of the Oystons etc etc. it's the same over and over there is so much LOVE for Blackpool fans and it makes me extremely proud to be one.

But, this video goes beyond Blackpool and shows that we truly are #OneFootballFamily I think this is the most inspiring, uplifting, thought provoking, human video I have ever produced and I would appreciate a bit of help getting it seen by more people it truly is quite wonderful and Clare was so so lovely. It has made me cry and remember my dad and how much I still miss him but I always have such wonderful memories of our journey together that keep with me forever. Our dads are so important, they are the ones that brought us to matches and the ones that we have cried tears of joy and sadness together with over the years.

Please help me share this video by retweeting it or sharing it on Facebook or your social media especially with your friends especially those that have lost their dads. I would really appreciate some help getting it 'out there' I feel that it encapsulates everything about being a football fan, how wonderful we Blackpool fans are, how family is so important and how much our dads mean to us and no matter how roughly we can be seen and treated by say the police or how we can at times be portrayed in the media that in actual reality we are in the main just one big massive football family who share a love of the beautiful game and how much it means to us as it weaves its way through the journey of our lives.

Thanks for reading and helping me share this if you can, thank you

I love everything about this video Lee. I don‘t do Twitter or FB or anything really apart from this forum but I’ll send it to my daughter who will share along with my wife as they both do FB.
yes great idea if you don't do social media much? then, yes definitely, hand it over to the kids, they are on it, they are way better than me at social media, they do TikTok and instagram (which I really struggle with) Snapchat etc etc. honestly its a whole new world that I have had to learn but if they can help to share this? then that will be amazing, They just won't understand the emotion behind this that those of us that have lost our dads do.

Amazing Lee, you are doing a fantastic job getting out what a Club we are now, you deserve a free season ticket, I look forward to the away game vids when I can not attend.
Clare looks like she had a fab time, and I am sure her Dad was with her, keep up the Brilliant work.

Wonderful Lee so sympathetically done, what an amazing lady and her Dad must have been a dream, oh the memories she must have of him.

I was OK till the Dark Choc Bounty bit as it’s my particular fave!

Lovely video lee.
I don't mind admitting that I shed a tear or two when Clare was talking about her Dad.
These days 70 is quite young to go. But I suppose it was a heart attack.
Well done to our Medics for being 1st there.

Good video and good to see the lady cherishing the memories whilst holding herself together.

Does Chris Hull still work for the football league?
Used to see him on tv but not seen him for quite a while.
A credit to his family.

I concur with everything said above. Clare’s interview was very heart warming. Her father sounded a cracking chap. Your media coverage Lee - of all things football, family and sightseeing, really have to be highly commended. They‘re very professional indeed.
I used to walk from Highcross Rd Poulton to home matches with my dear late Dad - cutting through Stanley Park and visiting my grandparents enroute, who lived off Whitegate Drive. I never did count the miles covered. My forever lasting ‘up there’ memory with my Dad, was being up in the old Kop end, the night we came back from two down, to beat Arsenal 3-2 in the FA Cup. Was a fantastic atmosphere, on an ultimately brilliant night. 👍🏼

Watched this on Sunday morning Lee and I'm glad you put a post on about this as, it was very poignant. Clare came across as a lovely person and you could tell that she really appreciated what the people of Blackpool Football Club had done for her and the family. Well done to all concerned, great gesture

I wouldn't want one tbh I support them anyway I can and my season ticket means a lot to me. I do it purely because I love them, I do it to make my dad proud of me I know he would have loved to watch these videos if there was 30 seconds on Granada Reports he would watch it over and over and I like to believe he watches all of these 🙏

Yes it definitely needed to have its own separate space as the vlogs sadly only last a few days no matter how good they are so it would have just been forgotten about. I hope it is watched for years to come as it will always be relevant.

A lovely story Ade and that was quite a walk and imagine so many memories of simply just being with your dad 🧡

I see that Clare has kindly replied in the comments section on You Tube.

Here is her response:

I was touched, overwhelmed, excited, happy and sad all at once x Your fans and your club are a big piece of my life now and I can't wait to return! My Dad would be so happy to know how you have all looked after us with so much kindness and warmth. You are all now my family and we have a lot of love and support for you 🧡 I told Madine in the morning of the match that we would win and I was so pleased that not only was I right but that it was him who scored! Lots of love to you all and I can't wait to be back! Xx

Great vid mate, was horrible what happened that day but it’s nice to see her get some comfort in coming to support the pool for a day. Well done all involved

Just watched, Lee, superb effort, thanks.

What an erudite lady is Clare, did her old dad proud.

The Tangerine family is growing
Yes wasn't she wonderful, a very special lady who will have us as a 2nd team the tangerine family truly is growing. I am amazed at how many fans from other teams are following our Blackpool videos and they post in the comments or message me it is quite surreal
