I'll start with the Little Vic.
Went with a school mate 1978, we were either 15 or 16. I was reasonably tall with bum fluff & immediately got served a pint of mixed. The barman wouldn't serve my mate so I kindly got junior a soft drink 😁. Promised to keep this embarrassing little scenario between us 🤔 as if.

The Burn Naze. A Souvenir Bully behind the back bar, bad karaoke, laughs. Ken the landlord's dog showering us with blood when we were getting changed for football under the regime of master football impressario Frank Whelan, because someone had trapped its tail in the door the night before and the bandage was slipping off. Ken's Mrs. Old school.

The Hole In One. Apparently the only pub in Lytham that was built to be a pub, had a Crossroads Motel feel, and is soon to be flats. I went in there a few times in the 80s, I think they served Castle Eden and Whitbread Trophy iirc?

After taking VR from my DWP IT contract in 2009 I ended up cabbieing around North Fylde. Always the same few punters out of the Burn Naze. Relying on occasional live music & never going down the food road. The writing was sadly on the wall.

Kens Mrs...these boots are made for walking....

I lived in Burn Naze early 90s. Ken used to do a bit of food.......Barnsley chop, peas and mash was my favorite....but it was very limited.......to just that.

I seem to think Thwaites.

The Talbot was good. I was a particular favourite of the female staff who worked there so when there was a promotion on for an auction you'd get tokens with every purchase. These kind girls would collect all tokens not given out and hand them to me. Come auction time, guess who won the race for the Sega Mega drive with some games 😂

Still got it set up with Sonic loaded.

The Victoria Hotel, Cleveleys. Local at the end of the road when growing up. Cheap rocket fuel beer! Fish guy doing the rounds on a Friday night. Shame brewery owner ruined the Sam Smiths chain with his silly whims & rules.

Little mention for the Municipal Arms (Wyre Lounge Bar) in Fleetwood. Great pub & started my love of proper beer.

Looks like the Winmarith/Burlington/Spen Dyke has finally expired after years of decline. Shame as it was a thriving busy place back in the late 70/80s. Times have changed & the Arnold under aged element have also now gone. There was still quite a few going in even in the 90s but the place was going down hill. Pub culture has changed & this place looks destined for another use or demolition. It's a big place spread over 4 floors, last time I saw it packed was when they probably illegally showed the Blackpool games on many screens when we were in the Premier league & they even had a van in the car park with a screen at the back. Sadly over the last 5 years when I've occasionally popped in for a swift one on my way home from the matches there've been more staff than customers, they seemed to try during Covid with outside seating, but after that it was quiet inside. So I'm not surprised it's closed.

Vic still going strong but not the place it used to be full of old farts these days spending their last few years waiting for God.

...King's Arms, wheatsheaf,..
Used to be quite an easy little triple pub circuit including the Ramsden. Can remember if it was the wheatsheaf or the Kings that did Old Peculiar on draft. Went down to well & the frostiness the following morning from an ex was due to me peeing into the calor gas heater. Think the lid resembled a toilet lid in my drunken stupor.

But is God waiting for you Jaffa?
Jaffa doesn't like next door neighbours from a foreign country so I don't know how he would cope living in close proximity to a supernatural being from another dimension!!

One of the regulars - Derek Bovis. Was that his name? Straight out of Phoenix Nights.....

Royal Oak Poulton.

Remember we always used to order bottles of beer from the bottom shelf as the bar staff (girls not men just to clear that up) wore little mini skirts and you could see pretty much everything. 😍

Block of apartments these days. 😡

Can't see Castle Eden being sold there as it's Whitbread. In fact I can't think of anywhere in Lytham that sold it. Horrible stuff.

The Royal on Marton Drive, a pub with a snooker table 👀
Oxford was okay in it’s day, good for a quick pub crawl with the Saddle and Boars Head.
Ivy leaf club, midweek lock-in.
Not the most exiting of places but you could carry on drinking for a couple of hours 🍻

Falcon in Poulton. I grew up down the road from there
Had a snooker table as well. There was a shop opposite that served Old Peculiar I think it was and you could (illegally) sit outside with your pint. Cheaper than the Falcon too.
