Gabriel.

I honestly think he’s not a very good footballer at all. But he’s young and can learn and can better. Him always being last off the pitch flirting with us doesn’t really fool me. Nottingham was better imo. If he is consistent with the after game stuff he still should have been out there at full time appreciating the supporters. Just because we lost and he had a shocker and was sent off shouldn’t make any difference. All seems a bit disingenuous. I hope he learns from his Huddersfield experience where there was absolutely nothing good about it.

Gabriel has been sent off twice this season, both for two bookings in a game. In the game, he played for Forest against Blackburn and yesterday
for Blackpool. In both games, his team lost. Unfortunately, although he has the physical attributes and enthusiasm to suceed, his decision-making and his defending are poor. Hopefully, he will learn from yesterday and improve.

I honestly dont rate your analysis of him...he is one of our best players who had a bad day at the office

Fine set up by Gabriel for the first goal but otherwise he was at fault defensively for not closing his man down several times including their goals then two avoidable bookings.

Bad day for him and Dujon must come back now.
He got sent off when it was 1-2, what the fuck are you actually on about?

Some said yesterday that he'd learn from yesterday. Obviously not, having done it earlier in the season.

If only we had a mixture of Stirlings defensive and Gabriel's attacking ability what a player that's be.

He’s not perfect but he’s a developing young player who has had some great games for us this season. Everyone makes mistakes, there are bigger and better players who have been sent off in more important games.

We really need to stop flying off the handle and making our players a target after one bad game, it’s pathetic.

only people to blame today ,the coach and the rest of the coaching staff ,they should have pulled jordan off sooner ,he was not at his best and every man and his dog could see that ,critch i love but today very poor decision making , also their winning goal was a total fluke 9 players in the box and any other day it would have come off a defender and gone away for a corner at worse ,but as i have said before (please stop this zonal marking we are shite at it.

You need to be banned. There's an opinion and then there's being absolutely unbelievably ** stupid.

I think he over indulges the celebrations at our home games at full time and we fall for it. He’s always last off the pitch when we are celebrating and we love it. It fools us into thinking he’s actually any good at football. He’s an athlete first , footballer second and blooody awful today. He’s more Wabara than Mike Davies. Let’s just concede he had a shocker and we hope he learns. His speed gets him out of a lot of bother. He’s very poor at marking the left wingers as though he’s giving them a chance as probably got away with this in youth football. Badly exposed today and let us down sadly.
If you are a Blackpool fan and you genuinely think that, then you have to be up there with one of the thickest this forum has ever seen.

Gabriel has three fundamental problems in his game. He no composure, no left foot and ( it would seem) , no sense.

What the flying fuck are people talking about? He has no composure? Who does have a left foot? Because Oliver Turton didn't. Ever. Nor did McMahon. Nor did Eardley or Baptiste or even Ian Evatt. Charlies right foot was dogshit.

He's been sent off once for us as far as I am aware and it was extremly unlucky but it is what it is.

Some of the opinions on players after bad performances are mind blowing. He's basically been MOTM in recent games he's played. Peculiar responses. I'd suggest people log off of avftt and go back on the drinks until they go back to being normal rational human beings with common sense.

The majority on this forum were screaming for his signature at the start of this season when it was apparent we were in need of a right back capable of going forwards.

When the recent downturn coincided with his exclusion the majority on this forum were screaming for his return.

Upon his return he was praised for his positive contribution in making us more effective.

He has played a total of 14 league games at this level.

We have bought him for his potential going forwards. For that you get inconsistency.

For what it's worth I still think we will be lucky to still have him in 2 years time after he fulfills his undoubted potential

Yesterday will have taught him a great deal and our support of him will ensure he returns all the better for it

Fuck me players get sent off all the time, some serious over reacting on here. Move on ffs.

He's young. He will learn from it. I still think he's our best RB and brings alot to the team. After his suspension, I want him back in the starting 11. I will say his girlfriend needs to stay off Twitter though because she isn't helping him right now.

I can't believe all the vitriol aimed at Gabriel. Yes, he made a mistake, it happens but their player made the most of it and the ref was trying to make amends having missed the injury to Lees. Even with 10 men it wasn't an impossible task to hold out for 25 mins. I thought Critch made poor decisions with his substitutes. Sterling for Bowler yes but why take Yates off? Why not give it 5-10 mins to see how it goes and withdraw Yates into a deeper role. No, he threw Keogh on and destabilized the defence even more. Hamilton for Madine would have made more sense as he could have played CJ up front on his own with his pace being an outlet. I still think Critch needs an experienced assistant to guide him through these kind of scenarios

Can I just say how good Jordan Gabriel must be because we were winning 2-1 when he got sent off and how poor we were when Sterling and Keogh came on.
If I was Neil Critchley I'd never play those two losers ever again. 🤡

I love him, let he/she who has never done anything wrong, criticise him.

Get a f in sense of proportion, spent the afternoon talking to my friend who may only have 2 months to live, that is something to get upset about 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

I might be looking at this with tangerine tinted glasses but he was deliberately body checked prior to his first booking for something that didn't look like a foul, and the second yellow was as spectacular a dive as I've ever seen. He wasn't having his best game defensively and i was thinking at half time that he might give way for sterling but we looked really good today going forward.
He was obstructed before the offence and did anyone see their number 7 pick up a pile of marking foam and move it so was in postion to take the free kick. That should have been a booking for him ,the ref saw it and made him move the back back to where it was.

Out of order . He may have been a d'ck today ,but having a go because he claps the fans . Go back to Preston where there plenty of supporters like you.

If we were to look back at previous posts this season, there would be many posts praising Gabriel and naming him man of the match. That said that was probably his worst performance in tangerine, without the red card. He is a young player with potential learning his trade. The first card was through frustration at being blocked off, no excuse, next time keep your cool do your job get your own back later if you can. The second never dive in when on a yellow card. I don't know but maybe he was aware he was not playing to the standard he sets himself and his frustration got the better of him.. Hopefully the coach ride home is an experience that teaches him a lesson he never repeats
