Game changers before the season?

So, what can Appleton do to really win the crowd over? Good pre-season, signings, loans or run through Preston naked with a tangerine painted backside 🤔

Good signings and a squad stronger than last season. A solid pre season without injuries and with performances that show we will be playing attacking football.

Let go of the pre-season crap. it doesn't matter a jot. If he loses every game but is setting out a way to play and messing with personnel then that's fine by me.

He said in his interview loan signings are going to be important, one of my only negatives in the last couple of years was not taking advantage of the loan market so hope he can bring a few good new faces in

Keep Grimshaw,Big Marv , Dougall,Jerry, Gabriel, probably Madine and build a team around them. We probably have enough players Husband, etcetra and just add some more creative flair. A couple of Dewsbury -Halls would come in handy. I think the subs will play a bigger part under Appy, let’s face it ,they were crap under Critch.!!

Getting the best out of Yates, a top quality loan signing, and a more attacking philosophy with one or two goals from midfield, would be encouraging to me.

I think it's important that we get as much money for players that want to leave or who are sought after.

I wouldn't sell Marv or Jordan under any circumstances unless it was for silly money, but Bowler, Keshi, Grimshaw (I think Grimshaw is expecting a move, if we could keep him then great). Get a good amount of money for those 3, say 7 million plus the compo from Quitchley and money from sponsorship and ST sales would give us some real buying power. I would also look to be off loading James, Dale & Bez, That would leave us a squad of 19.

It may be that Appleton will get the best out of the likes of CJ, Carey, Yates and Thorniley and possibly Garbutt.

I think he play a more attacking midfield style and will definitely want wide men, it will be interesting to see what formations he goes for, will he stick to what he knows or will he be looking at something new? I don't think we're going to see a back 4 and 2 defensive midfielders again, thank god.

Disagree, it helps create buzz and id you can see a good style coming together it only helps. Doesn't mean you win from the off, but it helps to see it coming together.
