A touch harsh there BFCx3, Oooh Andy Garner had some skill on him,you don't get to play in the old first division otherwise, and remember him leaving that Burnley defence on their arse setting Bambs up for our 5th?. Briggsy today would be a non starter the English version of Claudio Gentile, one good old fashioned challenge and he'd be off in these more gentle of times.I think neither would be my option... Briggs was a complete cart horse and Garner was about 3 stone too heavy.... Neither would get anywhere near this squad
Garner had a bit of skill about him, but he was of his time and clearly enjoyed his beer and snacks. He’s probably more memorable for his chant than his football. It didn’t take much to become a cult hero back thenA touch harsh there BFCx3, Oooh Andy Garner had some skill on him,you don't get to play in the old first division otherwise, and remember him leaving that Burnley defence on their arse setting Bambs up for our 5th?. Out of that era the one player I’d choose would be Alan Wright and stick Briggs and Garner in the same cupboard as Russell Coughlin…
He could slot straight in on Saturday
In all fairness, I remember thinking it was a big deal when Garner arrived and he was actually classLiked Alan wright
