Does Rishi take us for complete fools?

Apparently his Government.is responsible for reducing inflation to between 4 and 5%. How does that match up with it being totally out of their hands when it went into double figures?

Also, inflation coming down doesn't mean prices are dropping, as claimed. It means they're still going up, but not at quite the same rate.

Finally how tone deaf do you have to be to casually accept a £1,000 bet on Rwanda when you're on the programme to plug cost of living crisis payments to benefit claimants and pensioners? Just how much out of touch with the majority are you?

I can, when his wife's company (incidentally one that Rees Mogg now has a stake in) has 'won' billions of pounds worth of contracts with the UK Government.

Exactly, all it means is that the prices went up a massive amount but they are still rising on top of the inflated price, they must think people are stupid or something!

I still can't get my head around it, they don't need the money do they? They are already rich beyond their wildest dreams
 
Why do people think it's just the UK that suffers inflation? Prices go up during periods of economic depression. Fortunately, they're going up a lot slower here than in many other places. I've recently spent €77 in Ireland on a tin of paint and that is one of the most economically sound countries in Europe. Stop looking for someone to blame all the time.

I spoke to my mate Jacob earlier.

He was of the view that if you can’t afford “to go to every single Blackpool match home and away” then you were a loser. And deserved all the shite life might serve up.

To be honest I think empathy is a bit overrated.

For instance it means I would have to empathise with the people who kept telling us that Brexit would sort out all our problems. And are now telling us that the only reason it isn’t is because we wouldn’t properly get behind Boris, Liz and Nigel. And keep moaning about how shit things are.

I’m more in the “you made your bed now….. 😂 😂 😂 ” camp.

Although I’m sure you’ve previously tried to present Brexit as being a brilliant and exclusively Tory idea.

And ranted about the Brexit voting RMT and ASLEF going on strike.

Err i think you have just made that first bit up

I'm no Tory, this current government are weak and useless i just don't think Labour would be any better and living in Wales i know what a Labour government looks like

Hopeless

Anyway I'm not getting into any more political nonsense when the thread is about our dying King
