Not at any cost thoughMy take on it is phase 2 with the super cinema, restaurants is a way to entice people (locals & visitors) into the town centre & extra footfall for the shops. Anything shiny & new gets a from me.
I would think that an entertainment complex rather than retail, which it seems to be, is the way to go, to be fair. Better there than an edge of town set up like every other town in the country. My take on it is phase 2 with the super cinema, restaurants is a way to entice people (locals & visitors) into the town centre & extra footfall for the shops. To the Labour Council who run our town?It was always going to go ahead. I wonder if the building contractors are party donors?
Everything is aimed at visitors rather than locals in BlackpoolI would think that an entertainment complex rather than retail, which it seems to be, is the way to go, to be fair. Better there than an edge of town set up like every other town in the country.
Possibly aimed more at visitors than locals?
A cinema and restaurants aimed at holiday makers I'd say the exact opposite.Everything is aimed at visitors rather than locals in Blackpool
There is already a multi screen cinema near Bloomfield Rd. You would probably have to drive then park up miles away from the new proposal. The one we already have has parking a few yards from the entrance.A cinema and restaurants aimed at holiday makers I'd say the exact opposite.
I go to the pictures and eat out and will definitely use it can't say that about the Tower or the Pleasure Beach for example.
You do know that the council won't be running the cinema so what on earth has the one near BR got to do with anything. There is already a multi screen cinema near Bloomfield Rd. You would probably have to drive then park up miles away from the new proposal. The one we already have has parking a few yards from the entrance.
Yet again the council come up with some hair brained idea to throw money at!!
Yes I do know the council won't be running the cinema. You do know that the council won't be running the cinema so what on earth has the one near BR got to do with anything.
I think it's brilliant that I'll be able to pop into town to watch a film and those that are moaning are the types who probably don't go to the pictures anyway.
It's over 23 years old this is a modern state of the art cinema experience.Yes I do know the council won't be running the cinema.
The one at Bloomfield Rd means we already have a multi screen cinema in the town would you like to pop there and watch a film?
I know we'll stick a cinema in the middle of town . They tried that with the odeon (if you're old enough to remember) along with the ABC and princess cinemas NONE of which are there now.
Fair enoughIt's over 23 years old this is a modern state of the art cinema experience.
Odeon(Funny girls) ABC(Syndicate now car park) Princess cinema(Waterfront night club amongst many things)proves exactly the point time moves and one shuts another opens.
