So what generation are you ?

Generation X for me. The least parented generation full of latch key kids with independence and resilience as a result and a need for work life balance 👌

You ?

I'm a late Boomer. Marketing to me should involve the marketeer f-ing off and minding their own business.

Late Boomer. Loosely keep up with technology although my grandkids may disagree. Funny how the Mrs dismisses my suggestions then accepts theirs 😂. All a little like my friend says, so it must be right.

Baby boomer. Loaded 😂🤣🤣🤣

Think there should only be two generations, one of any worth. The most important, the real generation. Then there is the fake generation, who have fucked everything up for everyone.

Boomer by year, Gen x by inclination
Late Boomer.

The observations about digital stuff are accurate enough. The other stuff about resilience etc is just bollox.

There was someone in/on the Express/GB News recently arguing that conscription was just the thing the new generation needed. Develop a backbone etc.

FFS!! Silly old feckers have been calling for national service for teenagers since the 1950s. And moaning about youngsters since at least Elizabethan times.

Those calling for conscription inevitably have never done it and are too old for a call up.

I’m not for conscription, but my girls won’t even get on a bus 🥹 Even if it means not getting to work, or missing a major event. ’I’m not getting on a bus ‘ is all I’m hearing.

To be fair though I haven’t been on a bus for about 3 years. And that was the first time in 40 years (these figures are approximate but broadly correct).

My grandson’s other grandparents took him on a bus ride and he loved it. My son described it as “rich boy’s adventures”.

That’s the way to sell it. A bit like a ride at the Pleasure Beach.

My granddaughter enjoyed a bus ride up until she was about 10. Now it’s a no no. Trams are still just about ok, but no buses.

My 30 and 23 year old daughters would rather set fire to their own faces than get on a bus.

I actually enjoy a bus ride. It feels like the one time you are forced to sit and do nothing . Very relaxing 🚌😁

With a price of anywhere for £2, why wouldn't you get the bus?

A simple bus ride (with a special someone) is one of the most cherished memories of my life.

It's not about how you get there. It's where you're going and who with. 👍

I'll be Gen X

Used to use the bus all the time when I was younger. The numbers 6 and 14 were the routes of choice.

Even when I was driving, I'd prefer using the bus to go into town as parking was a nightmare and both with the hassle.

TBF busses are a bit shit now (outside of well connected cities) come every 30 minutes, stop at 6pm and don't really connect places properly.

That said, I worked out with my kids, they have flown more than caught the bus because of where we live the bus is twice a day, where's as they have flown multiple times per year quite often.

My eldest two have flown independently which is good news and they can and do catch the train so not entirely incapable.

It doesn’t seem to be the done thing for Millennials and Generation Z 🥹
Maybe in smaller towns but they will in bigger cities, none of my mates in London own a car. When I'm in the UK I get the bus regularly, £2 each way Garstang - Blackpool is a great deal and you can have a few 🍺 at the game. We don't have a car in Stockholm either, we live close to a tube station so there's no point, although it may change when Sven Jr arrives.

'Silent generation'.
God knows why it's called that.
Bloomfield Rd was extremely loud in those years.
They should call it 'The Conscription Generation'.
2 years in the Forces compulsory, unless you had a trade.
I didn't.
Also, probably the loudest ever at Bloomfield Rd. I mean after they grew up a little.
